You may have heard that carnival is canceled but that’s not true. There are tons of street parties, activities, groups and festivities still celebrating carnival. The parade in Rio is not canceled either. It’s just postponed until April 23, 2022
The following are tips to find Carnival parties in Rio but could also apply to all over Brazil.

2. Fancy Masquerade balls and special lunches with traditional holiday food. Copacabana Palace www.belmond.co... is the best but many hotels in the Copacabana area also have parties, luncheons and special group activities. Just ask the front desk of the hotel you want to stay in.
3. Samba schools are a great option. You can follow your favorite samba school on Facebook, Instagram or check their website for activities and parties. Sometimes they even give tours!

4. Shopping malls have amazing carnival activities. Live bands, food, drinks, bounce houses and tons of activities for kids.
