We have not sailed Carnival in 24 years due to an awful experience on our first (and only) Carnival ship. As you know, you never get second chance at a first impression. However, watching your videos has thoroughly piqued our interest to perhaps try this particular ship. Thank you for all of your fantastic videos…..they make me want to book EVERYTHING 😂😂

I agree with design doctor. Also went before Christmas. I was excited for this ship but it was a disappointment. From the very small suite, a buffet with little food, and a lot of frustration in trying to find anything, including bathrooms, I wouldn’t go again. Dee and Jay just do everything well but this was my least favorite cruise ever.

I agree with Kate D. We went before Christmas was looking forward to this cruise and it was a huge disappointment. I’ve decided not to go back to carnival.

Carnivals new Xcel class ships are a game changer for them. I would definitely give Mardi Gras or Celebration a try ❤

i loved the breakfast po boy from emeril's. Unfortunately, i didn't get a good seat for the circus show then when I had the best seat in the house for the next one it got cancelled.

The Circus venue doesn’t lend itself to a true audience experience- it’s also a pass through to fore and aft. Thus most folks don’t see it as a place in which audience etiquette is appropriate. I don’t like the shows held in this area, I prefer a proper theater show in a darkened venue- adds to the “magic”

I agree. There were not a lot of seats with a good view and it was very difficult to get a seat

I am cruising 3 times this year and so far scheduled once for next year. I REALLY hope I can hang with you 2 on one of those!

Having just gotten off of the celebration, I can confirm that the shows are excellent. However there's no excuse for having to get to a show 3 hours early. Carnival, please fix this so we don't have to waste our vacation time sitting hours for a show to begin.

100% this. We were on the inaugural sailing--2 weeks--and we went to only two shows on center stage because of this. We waited over four hours for the magnificent circus show just to have seats where we could see. And people were being UGLY when the floor seats opened up. It was awful. There HAS to be a better way.

Hi Dee and Jay enjoyed meeting you on this day. Enjoyed all the shows.we tryed the benign they were so good.i evened tryed the lobster rolls and the bread bowl with New England clam chowder at the sea shack it was good and had a great time on the celebration.my husband trys to get me on the roller coaster but it did not happen!!!!!!take care of yourselfs maybe we will meet again sometime.

I’m so sorry you had to deal with some rude people around you during the show. It is definitely a difficult place to find good seating for those type of shows that you want to see! Overall this looked like a good work day… So nice you can work from the ships! See you in a week or so🎉

They're two different ports in the Dominican Republic. With MSC, you'll most likely be at the Taino Bay port complex rather than the primarily Carnival-based Amber Cove.

Carnival should go to a reservation system on the app on the XL class ships like NCL or Royal. Waiting two hours to see a show is crazy! I've heard from other vloggers that the queue can get rowdy, too.

True! I'm assuming all the high-flying rigging and whatnot may not be present in the main theater, but not sure on that one!!
