Dope tour, but you really like carnival's suites over royal's? To each his own & I like carnival (it's the only line I've been on), but IMO, the videos I've seen of their best suites, don't come close to how nice & spacious other lines, specifically royal's are

I love cove balconies, however, you do have to be aware of what is "above your cabin". Many times the Galley, or theater, etc. is above and can be very noisy. I agree that the Visa class Havana is much better than the Mardi Gras class. The Mardi Gras class only has a cold pool that no one ever uses because it is cold. Another thing about the Havana cabins with the patios, you need to close your curtains more because people walking by can see in. Although those front forward havana room balconies are larger, they don't have a view. I had a havana suite on the Mardi Gras, and I've had an extended balcony room. I loved the extended balcony because there is room for a lounge chair (ask your cabin steward to bring one if not there), it is like a cove balcony with a more private atmosphere, and (unless you like baking in the sun) it has shade. As for the suite, I believe that is called an "ocean suite". The bottled water that comes with a suite is just the 2 large bottles (only without the $4 price tag). The water you saw in the refrigerator must have been put there by the people occupying the cabin. A person can preorder bottles of water. I have been on 26 carnival cruises, and will be on the Celebration in Febr. Happy for you and your fun adventures.

Awesome review/tour of these cabin types! Thank you to all who allowed to share their cabins, you guys rock! 🎉
Your review of cabins is one of the most thorough I have viewed and it was great. You covered a lot of area within these cabins and answered a lot of questions I have always had. Your review style is the best I have seen so far. You speak clearly but you seem to know what everyone out there is interested in. Now I know what a cove balcony is. I must say the Celebrity ship and their Havana suite is very tempting. Older ships with the Havana suite cannot compare to this ship’s quality. Thanks again for a fantastic review.🎉❤

That was a great review of those cabins. The one thing I noticed that you also noticed is that on the extended balcony cabins on the Mardi Gras, they do have a lounge chair. It was surprising that they eliminated that feature and with the lack of privacy, I would hesitate to reserve that type of cabin. I loved Lauren at the end! She's great. 😃
I’ve noticed a couple of things on these newer ships. Number one, it seems that the balcony and ocean view rooms are smaller. On the older ships, the wall in the living area did not protrude out. There is less space in that area. There used to be a table in front of the couch. I can tell that the rooms in the new ships don’t have space for the table. They replaced the table with the storage stool. Secondly, I see that the couch is placed by the balcony in the Spa Cove Balcony rooms Also, I just wanted to say, keep up the good work. I enjoy your vídeos.

You can ask room steward to remove/move ladder (usually put up/out of the way with bunk bed) Great video.
in a cove balcony, that ladder is for doing swan dives off the ship and then being able to get back on...trust me

You have an upper bunk and you could have asked your cabin steward to remove it. Just a tip. Anyone use a Cpap my husbands fit on the shelf next to the bed, we had a magnetic hook that he hung his mask/cord on. Worked perfect. If you are tall enough you can brush your teeth while using the "loo" Just lean forward and lift a little. lol We put the TP roll on the bottom shelf, the holder is in a BAD position. For the storage chair, we had a garbage bag and used it for our dirty clothes and had 2 dryer sheets in it so it was not stinky. LOVE LOVE LOVE Cove balconies. Never did the spa one. You may want to look into travel insurance, well worth the cost if you do a lot of traveling The seats on the Havana balcony sit low SO if you have mobility issues keep that in mind. We had a forward facing and the crew area did NOT bother us in the least. We had fun and would joke with them. The downside, a LOT of engine movement. We had things fall off our shelves, felt like we were going to be tossed out of bed etc.
I dont use one but was wondering if the Cpap machine would fit on the little side table/shelf. Thanks for that info. Using the magnet is a great idea

Very informative. I sailed on the Carnival Celebration this past February and I had a ball. I had a regular balcony on deck nine and always wondered about the Havana & a Suite balcony cabins. Thanks for the preview so i know what I’m getting when I book those rooms.

Yea I noticed a few things that bothers me with all those suites. 1. none of them have a bathtub which with a toddler is almost a necessity if you expect them to be clean. 2. My junior suite (which was probably an outlier) on Harmony of the Seas was at least 1.5 times bigger (we could actually lay with our head against the couch and not touch the other wall no exaggeration). So I definitely am not impressed and would definitely choose my cabin instead of guarantees if possible. And before people label me a "Loyal to Royal", I am platinum on Carnival and Princess as well as Royal with a few cruises on NCL, Holland America and Disney. I go where the itinerary works for what I want and I feel I am getting all my needs met. (not a flex, just showing I am not loyal to a brand)

Never been on a cruise and not sure I ever will but one thing I liked about your room over the Havana one is the view. I know you can go outside and see the ocean but from inside it seems to be obstructed. With your room it seems like you can chill on the bed and see the ocean going by or the first thing you wake to can be the view of the ocean.

Yea, the ladder is for the person to get on the bunk bed. We just sailed the Vista n had that for r kids.
Perfection! Thanks for sharing! We have a cove balcony that’s more AFT so I was so glad you included it! From what you showed, the Havana area and cabins on Vista seem to be in a better area. I remember the Havana pool on Vista was aft, it was amazing and it was HUGE! The Havana pool on Celebration looks tiny. I’m kinda glad we didn’t opt for Havana on this ship, it definitely doesn’t look as well thought out! Loved your review! I’m looking forward to the privacy of a cove but I’m a sunset lover- I don’t think the views are going to be as great. But there’s always upper open decks for that!

Havana on the Excel class ships definitely seems to just be there to check a box - like since Vista class had it they HAD to do it on the next one too even if there wasn't really space in the floorplan. Still a different feel and there's the small value add, but not at all the full experience as before. As for Cove balconies I understand why Carnival introduced them on the Dream class. They're able to squeeze an additional few dozen balcony cabins out of a borderline deck of the ship (ie: an area that's safely dry in moderate seas, but might get hit a bit with higher seas). In exchange for the larger frame required to make it withstand potential wave action (not to mention the potential they may have to restrict access to it in higher seas) and the vertically obstructed view from being under the lifeboats they'll save you a bit of money compared to the standard balconies further from the water line. However for people like me that love the sound of the water below you can REALLY hear the ocean with these balconies - for that reason I actually prefer the Coves.

HI Justin...Thanks for the great room tour. We enjoy all your videos. Cant wait for our New Years eve cruise on the celebration. I would point out that the Havana Suite you showed is actually a Havana Cabana. They do have a Havana cabana suite as we have stayed in them on the Mardi Gras. The actual Suite differs in a few ways. Larger wider cabin. The balcony is also wider and deeper. Slightly larger bathroom with incredible rain shower and full body jets! The price difference is substantial however. Fortunately ours was a casino offer !
@djtexas4993 Жыл бұрын
Do you find that you’re very pleased with your carnival casino offers in general? I’m assuming you rack up a lot of points in order to get the suites comped. Just wondering!

Hey J. Oh. The temperature controls looks different. Wonder if that ladder could’ve fit under the bed? Decent size bathroom. Shower with door and footrest for shaving. Yes. J. I’m hollering 😂😂 at use the mirror to pull hairs out of your nose 😂😂. J. You looking kinda close to the water on that deck 5 balcony. Oh. A Havana suite. Guess a jr suite. The room about the same. The balcony nice with step down to the Havana deck. The bathroom the same. A suite suite would have a tub. The balconies thus far are a little different until you get to a true suite. Great tour J. To me the Norwegian Prima rooms were nicer. You’re right J. If they take an inch or so from each cabin will make room for more. You and Laurene are hilarious with who says Take it Easy first 😂😂😂.
Just sailed on this ship. The two issues that still exist are the door one where the door sensor doesn't open it sometimes and that the thermostat fan turns off and doesn't turn back on so you have to manually get up to adjust it before it turns too hot.
@donnapoindexter39712 жыл бұрын
Good tour. The class category for the bump out suite is OS or OT. Apparently OT are decks 14, 15 and 16 maybe because they’re higher up, I’m not sure. We are on 16 and I agree I can have a close conversation with the cabin next-door but fortunately they’re nice and we really have only been out there on the deck at the same time when we were coming into Port or leaving. Our traveling buddies have the XL AFT suite which is absolutely gorgeous. So we tend hang out there a lot! It was nice meeting you. Look forward to more of your post.
