Cruise news today: Carnival Cruise Line has responded to passenger complaints about fan availability and vaping policies on its ships. Protesters from Stop Cruises BZH and Extinction Rebellion blocked a cruise ship from entering a port in Brittany, France, on Saturday. A Celebrity Cruises passenger took to social media to accuse the company of dropping her suitcase in the water and failing to inform her. Cruise line stocks for CCL, RCL, NCLH, and VIK.

Morning Doug, Unfortunately, it’s a freak show! lol Bring your own fan, vap in the designated area. It’s not that deep. The young lady who lost her luggage. Is owed major compensation. Here’s something maybe when the luggage feel into the ocean , the person didn’t say anything for fear of getting in trouble, or possibly with the amount of luggage boarded no one saw it happen. Look at the amount of luggage boarded at a time. Either way, cruiselines needs to owe up to it and handle its business with the passenger. Safe travels Doug.

Our luggage was dropped in the Hudson River by the porters at the NYC pier for NCL Bliss a few years back. What an experience.

I follow several cruise pages and a lot of the complaints are totally ridiculous. The thing that is so irritating is when the complainer says “Most people feel this way” or “The majority of people agree”. They seem to think they speak for everyone. As far as the fan issue bring your own if you are a person who tends to be hot natured or ask your cabin steward for one. Also a lot of the times in reading the complaints, if the writer had worded it politely and given a suggestion, it wouldn’t have sounded so entitled and negative. I don’t know if other cruise lines have a Brand Ambassador like Carnival does but I don’t know how John Heald handles all the whiny people who write.

I read and listen to several, too.. One seems to run into an inordinate number of people he thinks should be banned from cruising ever again.. His videos appear to be doctored to make the offending behavior seem worse than it is. I have been on only 7 cruises, but other than a few people that drank too much and did a few stupid things, I have never had any issue on a ship. I admit, I cruise in Winter and Fall, when there are less kids on board, but they are still there.. Too many people want to go back to the cruises portrayed in "The Love Boat" where it's almost all adults wearing tuxedos and evening gowns everyday.. That's not likely to happen. .As for people that want kid free cruising, they can pay 5 times as much and have that.

Hotels don’t supply fans. What the heck is wrong with people. Bring your own. Your sleep issues are not Carnival’s problem. And lost luggage, yeah it sucks. They should have done something but that’s why you get TRAVEL INSURANCE.

Hey Doug, I hate to tell you this, but it is a real thing. My friend cannot sleep without having a fan going on in the room. I don’t know if it’s the noise or what but it is a real thing and I am here to tell you, it’s a real thing, either has to have a fan or some sort of air conditioner flowing nearby to sleep. 1. I have stayed in a LOT of resort hotels, not one has had a fan in it.. A small fan is cheap and you know if it works well for you or not. 2. If they make exceptions for vaping, other's will want exceptions, too. 3. The luggage was likely mishandled by the port people and not the cruise line, ALWAYS buy trip insurance, most policies cover that. 4. Activists is a nice thing to call people that complain about everything. All the money that businesses lost should be part of a lawsuit against whatever organization they say they represent.

@TxGambler77 Chattanooga 100% humidity 99% of the time. I sleep with 3 fans (counting the ceiling) because I'm graveyard shifter, and I need the noise. I also bring a 12x12 fan on cruises because I'm an adult.

Morning Doug! ☀️ If they want fancy amenities then they need to get on the more luxury ships, not the less expensive ones. Not doing any competition for that young lady who had to buy all new things because her bag got dropped/left is rediculous. Some people get reimbursed, credited or compensated for stupid things they did themselves not the cruise line. This was a ship/port problem and should have been handled better. My one Carnival Cruise was my last. However, my wife was in the middle of menopause, they loaned me a large fan during my cruise! I didn't get the idea they had a lot of them and the desk said they would try and locate one and did.

The thing I want is the cruise line to concentrate on cleaning. Frankly I don't see them doing as much as right at the restart. They need more crew to do it as they are booking full.

We frequently cruise out of the NYC ports. The ships are closely protected by the Coast Guard. There is no way boats would be allowed to get that close to a cruise ship. Regardless of the port, it is a real security risk to allow any boat that close to a ship with thousands of people aboard.

I like Carnival. Departures from Florida were great. It’s the passengers from NYC that were problematic for me. The Staten Island/Bensonhurst crowd spitting on the decks, unruly teenagers and what have you.

I get the right to protest but blocking shipping lanes ? Where is the local coast guard? Fans from crew. - I get not suppling fans in general but should have for comfort, our AC broke down when we Left Cartagena and the part wasn’t available till Puerto Vallarta -6 days- the line was great with compensation and gave us a door stop to get cross breeze with balcony at night. But a fan would have been helpful 1st thing we did was order travel fans since we are now ready it won’t happen again😅

Celebrity lost our bag in Port Miami in 2018. The guest service was horrible and claimed that I never took the bag from home, saying that it wouldn't be the first time a passanger had left the bag at home. When you drag something all the way from Sweden to Miami, trust me, you know if you had it with you or not. Celebrity even claimed that they had NEVER lost a bag 😂 Yeah right! Took several months and a ruined vacation until I got compensation for the bag.
