Well, sir, it appears as though you really didn't have a good time. Like you wanted a more laid-back cruise. I'm a former Travel Agent for 21 years, with my own agency. You went on the wrong ship. A better experience, for you and your family may have been Royal Caribbean or Disney. Carnival has a lively, noisey, entertainment culture. This is a mass market line, that being said, seeking out a specialized Cruise vibe probably is for you. But some of the things you criticized I would've taken up with the ships Customer Service.

Yeah, definitely agree. We've done Royal before and always had a great time. The crazy thing about this particular cruise? Three days after this one was filmed, we were on board when it caught fire. This was the cruise where the whale tail got struck by lightning and burned at sea!

Candidly, I've Cruised many times before this is the first time I had this type of experience. Heck, the boat burst into flames 24 hours later so I don't feel like it would be serving anyone to present an inauthentic experience. Sometimes the camera catches good, sometimes it catches bad, I will sometimes it catches something that just isn't my cup of tea

I have a friend group going on this ship, it will be my first cruise. We are from Az and I'm getting the vibe this ship isn't really that nice, and it's a long expensive trip. Would you recommend this ship for a family ( that can afford the finer things) and if not what ship would you recommend?

Wow it looks pretty bad. The decor looks like a 70s casino. I’ve never been on Carnival. The hunting game mixed with Terminator is pretty weird haha and why is the arcade called the warehouse? Strange choices.

The last time I cruised was way back in probably about '95 and '96. Sailed on Royal Caribbean's Sovereign of the Seas and Majesty of the Seas(biggest cruise ships in the world at the time). Let's just say it was way classier while not being pompous(not quite the right word maybe). Now both those ships have been scrapped, I think covid did the final one in. But they were beautiful. And despite being huge ships, they very rarely felt crowded.

Royal is always done a pretty good job of keeping things fun but still keeping things relatively classy. I've only got one ship to go off of for Carnival of course so I don't want to Pigeonhole the whole fleet, but I will say that this particular ship did not strike me as classy.... It just seemed.. odd. All the weird textures and curves really made it seem kind of claustrophobic and overly dark

I really use these to be helpful .. I will not be watching this guy again.. he is really a sarcastic complainer .. I get it’s not like Royal Caribbean .. with that being said it’s 1/3rd the price .. so not sure what he was expecting .. as a white man I can say I thought his racist insinuation of Black people smoking Newports was pretty offensive. I can tell that this guy is straight up Trump supporter because he’s kind of racist. I’m sure that somebody out there will find this helpful that is more on his level of thinking I am not and I wish him all the best and have a great day/life.

I appreciate your opinion! I'm actually not a trump person. I'm very very much not a trump voter. EVER. I also didn't make up the piece about the Newports. That was what was actually going on. For what it's worth, I don't make these videos in order to polish up the subject matter but rather to show things as I find them and let others make up their own mind whether they agree with me or not. Some people do, some people don't, and that's perfectly fine! In this case, not only was the cruise itself very rough in terms of the environment, but 24 hours later, the ship burst into flames (you may have seen it on the news). Perhaps I just caught them on a very very bad week. Candidly, it's just not the cruise for me. I'm not looking for something where there is constant partying and an expectation that you will have a drink in your hand 24 hours a day, and that was the general environment of this Cruise on the first day of sailing. And that's fine! For a lot of people, that is exactly what they are looking for and I'm not judging them as better or worse than anyone else. I am simply saying that for me, it came as a bit of a shock just how over the top some of these elements were. When I go on a cruise, I am looking to relax, looking to try new things, see new places, and make pleasant memories with my family. Again though, I appreciate you taking the time to watch and to leave your thoughts. For what it's worth, I understand why you would think that the newports thing was racist. Honestly, I thought the very idea behind them being pushed was questionable.
