First time cruiser, we leave in 2 weeks. I was curious what deck level are starting at when we first get one?

You'll board on deck 6 right by the Grand Central atrium.

wow, that's an old school muster lecture. Seems like the last few cruises I've done, we just walked up to someone and they scanned our card. That was all. You watch a little thing on the tv in the cabin first.

We didn't go to our cabin first... so maybe they could tell we didn't watch the thing on the tv?? But we did the same on Venezia and the person scanned us and said we were good. I think it depends on the person doing the demo. and/or if they notice we're platinum. This guy really stressed the muster location lol.

Are the doors on the Jubilee magnetic?

They are metal but have a thick coat of plastic. So, strong magnets will work, but business-card-type-magnets won’t stick. I've used both these (note the tiny size) amzn.to/3Q4I2vY and these amzn.to/3Umnuly and they work on the doors!
