Maaaaan, we were just excited to hear the string trio and felt so bad that they could hardly even hear their instruments to tune up… not a great venue for live tunes, but we eventually caught them in the Golden Mermaid which was muuuuuch better!! :P

I will be on Mardi Gras in January. I am booked with a group and they planned with assigned dining. Will we have to do Cucina at 7:45? This is only my second Carnival cruise, we did anytime last time and I loved it.

That’s our understanding, yes. If you do a fixed time dining, then you only get the later check-in choices for the extra restaurants. We always go with flexible dining on this class of ship for that reason.

Last year on the our family vacation my brother snatched some lady off the railing who was trying to disembark the ship via deck outside bar delarosa, and she had security outside her room for the rest of her short stay on the ship (she was disembarked in the next port of call). hopefully this secruity gaurd has something much less intense to watch over.

They have a big screen on deck, but no indoor theater like some of the Vista-class got.

Awesome! They don’t do advance reservations. Just check in on the Hub app when you’re onboard and ready to eat each day!! :D

Cucina, Chibang, and Guy’s all are, from our understanding. Jubilee’s inaugural was December 2023, so there’s still time!! :P

Your encounter with the pub crawl points out a big flaw in that little alcove acting as a music venue. It really doesn't work on Mardi Gras and Celebration either. The walkway is too well-traveled, and the musician feels really just stuck in a corner rather than something that people are meant to pay attention to. It's too bad because live music is such a special part of cruising.

This happens on all cruise lines. People are on vacation and tend to get happy! If this isn't your cup of tea, feel free to do a staycation..

Typical Carnival cruise 🚢! Loud & rude people/ drunks!! Been there experienced it and never have cruises 🚢 with them again. Hope it was a good experience U2👍😉

The cruise I went on in May (Carnival) lots of security..I cruise every year sometimes twice and I’ve never seen so much security.

My least favorite class of all Carnival ships. The flow is poor, especially with major walkways going through what should be quieter music areas.
