When did you go? We will be cruising end on November and wondering how the water will be for the kids? Dirty? Clean?

We went in January. This beach is an all natural beach, so it depends on the tides, rain, hurricane activity, etc. It was murky when we went, but there had been a lot of rain. It was still nice to get in and relax. We are going back at the end of November too! We are taking our grandkids with us. There is a small swimming pool that they can swim in if it’s too murky. Sand toys available too! It should be around 80°. We loved it there!

Would you recommend Maya Chan for a family with a 9 and 6 year old

Yes, we would recommend for families. They don’t have big slides and big inflatables like Mr. Sanchos and Paradise Beach, but those places are typically crowded. MC has no crowds. Easy to get kayaks or paddle boats. Plenty of beach space is available for playing in the sand. We enjoyed it because of the more peaceful atmosphere. There is no lifeguard on duty. There were staff at the beach at all times to help with anything you needed. Let me know if you decide to go! I’d love to hear how it went!

We have been to MC 5 times and love it! The service and food are like nowhere else. There are never any kids there as there isn't a lot for them. It's more of a peaceful and relaxing adult retreat. Kids are welcome, but I would take them elsewhere.
