I love Galveston Kemah boardwalk and pleasure pier and good But not clear beaches

We would recommend the ship. We didn’t get to spend much time in Galveston. What we saw looked like a nice place for a few days pre-cruise.

Definitely is a must to spend time in Galveston but be aware beach is not a clear water other than that is a nice port to spend the day with so many things to do.

Galveston is definitely fun for a couple days before or after your cruise! Loads of great restaurants and plenty of affordable places to stay. Beaches on the southern part of the island are better than the public park on the northern part of the island.

Don’t go what people say what they don’t like you might like , and stuff he liked you may not like it. So don’t believe anything anyone says. Your best things you go on the ship and if you like or hate that’s only your opinion. I heard one man that said that the Jubilee is better than the ICON OF THE SEA . See again that’s hit opinion. We were on this ship in August it definitely is not our favorite ship . The shows was a big let down.. we tried the food in the main dining room, and the food we were served was horrible. We thought it was just us, but all the surrounding tables said the same thing. Chi Bang was delicious . The main buffet food and desserts looks so good but the taste is disappointing in seven days we only tried it one time that was enough. But the cruise is what you make it. We still had a good time, even though there were several fights. And the day we left Port we had to wait an extra hour, because the police were called to arrest a man before we left Port. Have a mentioned how crowded it was . But I have to say I’ve never seen so many rude people on a ship.

Good question. Anyone one can eat at chi bang and cucina del capitano for lunch. You still need to enter a virtual queue for lunch. Let us know if you have other questions.

The new Carnival ships are overcrowded and the new side stage is a disaster. I hope they change this ship design to get rid of LONG lines and a theatre that you cannot see the show at and is filled with noise from the decks and passage ways that go through it. Nothing like listening to the Casino bells and smelling the cigarette stench while you watch a show that has the view blocked by decks (ceilings and floors) blocking the view or the passengers walking in front of you and talking to friends in the audience. It is a beautiful ship with a few serious design flaws.
