That song actually came out in 2013. Most of the songs by that band (Airbourne) have a gritty 80s rock/metal sound to them. They have a couple other songs in Cobra Kai, too. "Breakin Outta Hell" is used in season four when Johnny trains Daniel in Eagle Fang and the scene where Daniel fights the hockey players. And their song "Runnin Wild" is used in the last episode of season five. Good stuff.

@@gracecowboynah it’s not. Cobra Kai’s philosophy on karate is offense over defense. And honestly this show was far better when Johnny was the sensei of CK. Having him and daniel team up and all the sudden everyone is Miyagi Do just killed the momentum of the show.

True, it's about the wow-factor. When I do showcases of martial arts, it's really easy to tell the difference in the audience when there's a shocking "what!" moment, rather than a showcase of a series of techniques. The techniques are far harder to do well, but an outsider won't know.

tbf, without the cobra kai intervention and with the finale of the ice breaking, it would've been a somewhat impressive show. Not a big one like Cobra kai, but it would've probably attracted the audience (stingray, tory, etc) to at least check out the dojo (especially since it's free and tory had money problems)

Tory and Sam would've been good friends right off the bat for two things: 1) If Sam didn't act like an almost snotty rich girl with ego issues in the beginning and 2) If Cobra Kai didn't intervene before the ice breaking finale. At least Tory would've been able to go to Miyagi Do because, as you said, it's free, and she struggled with money.

He can say what he wants about Johnny but Daniel literally put his family and family business on the line for a high school grudge . Even when Sam won a match using Johnny's teaching he says "you didn't win the right way" really Johnny saved Daniel from embarrassment cause no way he was breaking all that ice in his 50s . Daniel is literally built like a 10 year old boy .

Cobra Kai was better when Johnny was was the Sensei until Kreese had to come back they should’ve left another Johnny and Daniel rival season in season 3 and then bringing back Kreese there

I always kind of wondered who was at fault between Johnny and Daniel in KK1. Johnny didn't hit Ali or anything... it was obviously an argument between them... yah he threw her radio down but Daniel should've left it alone. Yah Johnny gave him the radio and shoved him.... and then Daniel kept charging in wanting to fight. Finally Johnny comes up to ask if he's has enough and he cheapshots him with a punch to the face. Daniel was coming off disrespectful all along. Then at school, they're playing soccer, and yah the guy trips him. Yah it's cheap, but stuff like this happens in sports all the time to taunt a guy and see if they lose their cool, usually whoever retaliates gets ejected - which Daniel did. Once athletes know an opponent is a loose cannon and can easily be triggered they routinely get picked on by other players. Just how sports goes. And Daniel gets up and just flat out decks the guy in the face lol. Then tries to go take Karate to obviously fight them. Then at the school dance continues to cause issues by ruining Johnny's weed and his fun at the dance. Johnny and his crew always seemed fairly reasonable. Even Johnny was like, "You couldn't leave well enough alone." I bet the next day at school after the radio incident if he'd just gone up to Johnny and said, "Sorry man I interfered, I hope it's cool." It would've been fine. But he kept going after Ali, kept being a hothead, and dishing it back to them as well. Usually when guys fight it's generally over after that. Remember getting in a fight in grade school (over something SO stupid). Some blows were exchanged before it was broken up. Like a week later we were at the same lunch table together laughing about crap with other students. It was over. Didn't even have to say anything but I wasn't hiding from the kid, was just going about my day as usual, wasn't bringing him up or trying to create drama. It was done... saw him I think the next couple days after and just a quick "Hey." Got a "Sup." and that was it...

One thing about this show I really hate. The editing. Look at the series of shots where he breaks the board. It all happens so fast, you're not supposed to think about it, but pay attention to each individual shot and notice they really showed nothing at all. This show is PACKED FULL of editing like this. It's used for all the action sequences, which, when you have a show about fighting, there are a lot of them. It's used so the actors don't have to train and rehearse so much, and to reduce risk and make filming loss costly. It saves a ton of money, but to me it stands out extremely prominently and is the defining aspect of the show. It's very frustrating. Seriously, just pay attention in the fight scenes. You'll see. They never show anyone clearly executing a maneuver with clearly distinct contact. Instead it's a bunch of fragments rapidly stuck together to trick the mind into feeling that something has happened. Maybe you're thinking "that's what a show IS." Yes, but this show is the worst I've ever seen in my life when it comes to cutting these corners. It's all I can focus on in the action shots.
