Carnival Magic Norfolk Virginia Overview May 2023

Today is June 10, 2023. I just got off this ship yesterday. We left on the 4th from Norfolk and went to the Bahamas and back. For anyone who is interested the 2 things I noticed with this ship , 1. It's dated. You can see rust spots throughout the entire ship and they are constantly scraping chipping paint and repainting. I'd say the decor is slightly dated as well. 2. Expect to wait in lines for food. Breakfast buffet on Deck 10, if you're not there early there will be a long line around 9:00am. I'd say the long lines were most people's biggest complaint. The food was okay. I personally didn't think it was amazing but wasn't awful either. I'll also add that you should expect to pay $75 to park in their parking lot then they will bus you to the shop where you'll wait in line to board. When returning, unless you're one of the first to exit you'll have to wait in long lines to get off the ship, get on the bus , then back to parking lot. Took about 3 hours to get to our vehicle. Aside from that we had fun and a normal cruise experience. Staff was polite as usual. Just figured I'd chime in and give my $.02 to anyone considering on taking this ship out of Norfolk.

Did you eat in the MDR (Main Dining Room)? I found the buffet on the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas to be equivalent to Golden Corral. A little better in the MDR, and best in the specialty dining restaurants. Thanks for the parking update. Maybe I will go to the parking lot one Saturday or Sunday and do a video update. Your 2 cents much appreciated.

The Wisconsin is right beside the Nauticus building. It never moves and is anchored there, even during your video.

I realized that later, it is so small compared to the magic, and I didn't see it until I saw my video on the large schree.
