If you keep rotating the balcony door latch into the pointed down position it makes the door rise onto the rollers and wheels easily, great review overall 👏👏

@@TheTravelScouts yes we ran into you both several times. I just don’t think y’all were ever together when when we would see you. LOL I felt that particular room was a better option because it seemed to be more private due to location and we loved that. We really enjoyed the pool and deck area…I did more than my husband but I’m the more swimming/sunbathing type. I found the best time to go was first thing in the morning before others made it out there. Sometimes the pool would be empty and the next thing you know it’s full of people. It did always seem to be the same people though…which was good and bad! The only downfall was that depending on the direction we were going, the sun would not be on that side of the ship. It was either in the morning or afternoon. As a result, you didn’t get the sun all day like you would on the Lido or at the other pools. So if that’s important to someone then the Havana area may not appeal to them. Love watching your videos by the way!

That swing is a really nice touch, as is the gate to the Havana lounging area, it reminds me of a neighborhood type feel of sitting on your front porch talking to your neighbors as they walk by.

Thank you so much for this video. I had been curious about how the Mardi Gras Havana area compared to the Havana area on the Vista and Horizon. I have a cabana booked on this ship later this year and I definitely will be exchanging it for an Excel Suite. I am extremely disappointed with this Cabana area. You get less than one would usually get on other ships.

Completely agree, less useable deck space, smaller pool, no hot tubs yet MORE Havana rooms? Ruins the appeal IMO. They are really trying to push people into Suites and Lofts I suppose

Everyone can make their own personal decision. For us, and about 4,000 other passengers, it was a yes. No Covid cases reported to my knowledge.

We are booked in a suite on the Mardi Gras next year. It's our first suite so we're pretty excited! (We had cruise credit from a cancelled cruise so decided to splurge.) Next cruise after that, I want to book a Havanah Cabin. The perks to me are the patios and private pool area. I wonder if I'd miss the action of the lido deck at all?? Can you hear any music at the Havanah pool?

We actually stayed in this room on the inaugural cruise. Very private. There is a door at the end of the deck but I don’t think anyone knew it was there. It actually took us a few days to realize it ourselves! This room is on the opposite side of the pool and bar area so not a main walk-through area which we enjoyed. Only issue is that the other balcony rooms can look down on you. The pool and bar are very easy to get to from this room. Just walk towards the elevators but go straight across the hall and through the door and you’re there.

State room is too small and you have to walk sideways to get around the bed to the balcony. Definitely not worth the money for a Carnival cruise.

LD loved your channel on the Mardi Gras.I think there could be issue shower glass unless it is unbreakable.Everyone is not careful around glass.Broken glass and cuts
