Havana Stateroom - Worth It? - Carnival Cruise

My 22nd cruise, first on Carnival was in a Havana Cabana on the Horizon. Absolutely worth the extra money. Inside cabins are very affordable if you don't mind them. I have another booked on the Horizon in Oct. and just today was looking at March 2024.The crew told me that the Mardi Gras moved the area from the rear on the other ships to the side. People complain about the wind and the fact that the pool is smaller. I hope newer ships move it back to the rear. I don't think I would do Carnival any other way.

I've been hearing that people now are sneaking into the havana pools. We're going in 7 days I'm hoping this isn't the case. Our freinds went last month and on their cruise he was constantly pointing out people to the stewards that didn't pay for a wrist band. Mostly he said it was women with their kids. The bartenders were on top of it stoping or telling people to leave the area. I dont get people sneaking in. If you didn't pay for it why would you take away lounge chairs or beds that people paid for. We paid almost $4,000 for our Havana suite and we booked it twice again in February so I'd like to be able to say it was worth it and do it again. If it's a problem we'll just cancel the second one and book another cruise with RC but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Great Video.

That is disappointing to hear. Havana suits are expensive and it would be disappointing to go to the pool area to find no seats. I hope they stay on top of that. Thanks for sharing.

Great video and now you have a new subscriber. Booked this room blind last year. Not many of the other cruise channels have gone this in-depth about the havanna especially on the MG. You have painted the best picture so far and for that I thank you. Keep up the good work!

We had a Havana on Horizon last year and was well worth the extra money! Our next two cruises are Havana on Horizon and Panorama but I would not recommend Havana on Mardi Gras/Celebration/Jubilee as many of those rooms are directly over the theater

Yes it is. Especially on sea days when the main pool is packed, you have a private pool area. That is the only way we cruise on Carnival.

Only book these on the Vista, Horizon, or Panorama. The pool area is much bigger than the Excel class ships (Mardi Gras, Celebration, Jubilee).

You are in a Havanah Cabana, not a Havana Suite. On the map, the four suites are shown and are larger.

Yes just not the pool area. The vista class ships have a much nicer and less crowded Havana pool area.

Yes there is a lock :) we kept ours lock all the time unless we were on the balcony.

Was it really loud in your room from the Havana bar? I seen a review someone said it was the worst room and they couldn’t sleep because it was so loud.

We did not have any noise but we were on the other side of the ship. I could see it being loud if you are the rooms closest to the bar, but we also met people who love those rooms as they are close to the bar and hot tub. Hope that helps. Happy travels 🦩

The extended aft balcony cabins on deck 9 are the ultimate. Way better than deck 5 lanai patios which I've stayed in. Complete privacy, huge balcony and no-one can look down onto your balcony as well...plus a roof for optional shade when you want it.

I prefer the non Havana Balcony. These Havana Balcony's have 0 privacy. I'm one of those people who don't care to see everyone on the cruise all the time.
