Let’s Party On The Mardi! Welcome to Carnival’s newest ship, Mardi Gras! Mardi Gras’ first sailing was from Port Canaveral on July 31st, 2021 and we were on this sailing to bring you all the new content! Mardi Gras is the first of it's kind, bringing new innovation to both Carnival Cruise Line and the Cruise Industry as a whole! Mardi Gras is Carnival's first mega ship and now the largest in their fleet! It features six uniquely themed zones that will house an array of new restaurants, entertainment, lounges, and activities! Mardi Gras also is honored with the title of the first LNG ship in North America! Today we are giving you a quick tour of the inclusions, restrictions, and information regarding WaterWorks, the onboard waterpark and Splash area! WaterWorks main feature includes three different waterslides "Twister" (a body slide), "Blue Lightning" (a mat slide), and "Orange Thunder" (a trap door body slide)! All of the slides are started at the top of the stairs and wind down to the landing splash area! In the Splash Pad area, you can find many hoses, sprayers, dump buckets, sprinklers, and other water toys to play with! There is also a small standard water slide for children! All of the slides have specific height and weight restrictions. This is a very fun area, and we hope this video helps you prepare for the fun! Ship's have come a long way from the days of a single, COLD salt-water filled swimming pool on cruise ships. Some ship's only had a small indoor pool. We are soooooo spoiled today! Love Happy Hoffmans!

First do you have any relatives in Wheeling WV? There are quite a few here in. The Orange Thunder reminds me of the Green Monster/Thunder on the Spirit class ships.

This is the same park found in celebration and they are pretty bad water parks i think is because the rollercoaster takes to much space. But on celebration they only had one umbrella looking thing splashing water. This park compared to the one found in horizon is super super weak.

What did you use to get this view. I tried this with my phone and a strap I was told I was not allowed to. I wonder if matters on the person is monitoring the slides.

Hi! In our experience a lot of times it does depend on who's working on the slides at the time. I believe we used a goPro to film and we didn't have an issue but sometimes rules change over time. Thanks for watching! 🤗❤️🚢
