I was on a tour in Ensenada several years ago and one of the people on the tour bus was complaining about how expensive the gift shops were in Mexico. He said that there was no way he was going to pay $62 for a lousy souvenir t-shirt! That person was so embarrassed when it was explained to him that the PESO currency also uses the dollar ($) symbol. The t-shirt was actually $62 Pesos which is only $3 USD.

Hello it’s your Gardena neighbor here. I have a very good tip for you both. Next time you go to Ensenada, take a tour bus to La Bufadora. Not sure if you know about it. It’s a sight where the ocean creates a blow hole when it hits the shore. There is a big flea market there and at the end of the flea market they sell this amazing seafood. It’s known as smoked clams, (in Spanish Almejas Gratinadas con Camarones) it has pico de gallo, cheese and diced shrimp on top. It is out of this world delish!! I still dream about it 6 years later. There are several stands that sell this, but our tour guide recommended the stand at the very end of the market. You would love it!! There is also a very good taco stand at the start of the market as well.

Love seeing you guys back on a cruise! Cruising is my fav (being out on the ocean, relaxing on my balcony, drinks and fun in the casino, watching live music everywhere, etc.), but I hope you two foodies will get to travel on other lines that have better food. ;) I know you take it for what it is, but there really are some excellent restaurants out there on cruise ships. Carnival's new Mardi Gras has some great ones too. Really enjoying this series, thanks for sharing!

We watch you religiously and even predict what you will both like most....we get it right about 85% of the time and are always excited to see those big smiles when things taste delicious and even those 'whoops, this one didn't work out' moments. We are doing our first cruise on a 5 night on Miracle in November and we've been looking everywhere for videos to see what to expect, and also the fun ship 2.0 upgrades from the 2020 dry dock. We're also going to Ensenada and plan to do a wine tasting excursion. The excursion is only 4 hours so I'm hoping we will have time to find that chicken! I know they had the crab legs for an extra cost, but do you know if they ever have them in the buffet? The portions of food look really small. I've seen other videos where people order multiple entrees? Is that pretty common? Sorry for the questions, we've never done this before. Again, thank you so much for these videos, they have been so helpful when we're trying to figure out how all of this cruising stuff works.

We just posted part 4 today. But, to answer your questions, no crab legs in the buffet. Yes, you can order as much as your want from the menu, often times the staff recommends that you order 2 different mains if you can't decide.

So maybe a silly question but do cruise ships have another way to get to different levels other than stairs. We have a son in a wheelchair so we always have to make sure anything we want to do is wheelchair accessible.

This time, we left on the ship. We have carried them with us on prior cruses. Carnival recommends carrying a govt issued photo ID and your Sail & Sign Card.
