We live in Florida, so I always check us in at midnight. Like the earliest check in possible. Another thing I also do is price check our cruises 2x a week minimum. We've had some good price drops.

Favorite cruise port stop is San Diego. Easy on and off the ship and walk-able. We stay up all the way until 9:00pm to check in for our Carnival cruises here in California.

We usually look for the arrival time around 1pm. That way, by the time we're done checking in at the port, the rooms are ready.

We love to get on 1st thing. We don’t have to really be up late, we’re mountain time, but we do go on as soon as we can. Our last cruise I woke up at like 1AM to get checked in. That was tough. So glad it’s fixed!

I am always up at 11 central so it’s easy for me. We like early check in. The last few times we have been the first passengers on which is fun.

East Coasters like myself never got a break on the midnight check in time so I'm not sure why others should either? I would love a 9pm check in time like PST cruisers LOL!!

On the first group sailing, I checked rates for my guests (this was before Island Time Travel managed all of my bookings) each week. I saved THOUSANDS for the group and each week I would post the amount saved…and related it to things on board. This week we saved each person $56! That is equivalent to one Steakhouse meal with tip! The last 3 cruises we have checked in for have been at midnight of the embarkation port. The last one was in May. I think that was the cruise we met you and your family and gave you guys some ducks!!! We are coming from Denver, so I always wait up to check in. It's exciting to finally be official and know that the cruise is right around the corner.

After a number of cruises now I firmly believe that staying up late and getting that early check-in time is self satisfying and nothing more. Most of my check-in times have been the earliest (10 or 10:30) and upon entering the waiting area I find the place filled to the brim. All those people can't possibly have gotten the early times. The port workers (not employed by Carnival but independent contractors) let anyone in as long as they have a boarding pass. I've never had one of them actually look at the arrival time on the boarding pass. This is especially true for the port of New Orleans!!!!!

I do the same Derrick. I like to stay up late and catch the time I want to board. My family& I like to board around 10:30 or 11 so we try to snag that & so far it has worked each check in! Like to get our vacation started early. We usually don't have anything on us but a backpack when we board so lugging around luggage isn't a problem for us!

This happened to us a few weeks ago. We are CDT and we’re leaving out of California. So I check in at 11:00pm cdt and click on the link….nope. Had to wait til 2am cdt which is midnight in California. I was so tired 😴

I've had price drops before. No more than $150-$200 total for both Wife & I at most on one sailing. Some price drops even included addition OBC.

If you didn't tell us about early check-in, I wouldn't know how to do that. I love staying up late to get the early time. I don't want to be up late but I do because I want to be on the ship as long as possible. Thank You for the tip.

Cozumel is my favorite. They have so much more to offer than any other port i have been to and cheaper. I wish they had a cruise where I could choose a 7 day and all 3 ports Cozumel

Akureyri, Iceland because I like the Vatnajokull National Park. My second is Southampton, England. I go into London a few days early and enjoy it. Worst is Orlando, because 6 or 7 ships dropped people at air port at once. Pluss all the people going to Disney Land. Getting through TSA took 2 hours.

Carnival also has a glitch in their system. I bought cruise cash and case of water. My payment us declined. On there end and still charged my bank. And now fighting with them to get the refund
