If the fees keep going up maybe it is time for the cruise line to give us more time in port or even some overnight stays to enjoy the local culture more.

This is outrageous - $60 per person starting new month to visit New Zealand!!! I might consider paying the fee to head back to Tahiti / Bora Bora.

Just did this with my sister at 12 am on the dot. Skipped through everything but arrivale time. Finished and got out. Went back and finished the rest and we are in zone C01. :(

$5 extra fee to visit the country on top of port fee and havent purchased any trinkets or food. NOPE. so they want to tax non citizens to fund their country.......audacisty

Interesting. There's one ship missing from your list of ships in Galveston. According to Royal Caribbean website, Allure of the Seas arrives in Galveston in March 2026. Does this mean Icon will replace her?

Note that the $60 fee for New Zealand is a VISA fee not a PORT fee. Cozumel has a PORT fee, not a VISA fee. You are comparing apples to oranges. The $60 allows you to tour New Zealand unlimited for 90 days. Australia also has a VISA requirement for U.S. citizens and it costs about $27 USD. I just bought both 2 days ago, getting in under the wire for a cost of about $35 USD for New Zealand.

Thanks for the insight! I did share a high-level view of fees across multiple destinations. In the end, the $60 fee is quite high and is having a negative impact on cruising in New Zealand while the five dollar fee shouldn’t impact cruising in Cozumel.

It's the same type of extra fee they are charging for the Cancun airport. We have seen extensive road construction and other upgrades. Fees suck, but hey they can tax if they want to.

No, just adding to them. You have to pay a new tax to leave out of the airport as well in Cancun. I am not saying I like it, but they have the "right" to do it. It's their country.

Capri was one of my bucket list places and we made it there in June this year. Beautiful island and we had a wonderful time. We hiked uphill to a shopping area and found some nice stops along the way.

I would love for it to come to Galveston. However when I look to book on the Icon out of Miami, it shows dates all the way past 2026. Does that mean it wouldn’t arrive until after then?

They can charge $100 to visit the ports, I'm a mom and housewife. The ship is the vacation for me. No cooking, running errands, no washing clothes and dishes.😊

We enjoyed a day in Naples! Went to the Amalfi coast. Gorgeous!! Bought a bottle of limoncello. Was broken in our luggage when we got home😢
