Heya! This brings back so many memories! Went on a 3 day cruise from Sydney in April of 2019, and stumbled apon this! A few things have changed, definitely but not much! Mini Put Put and Basketball was fun, but hard with the waves haha! We are going on Ovation Of The Seas, so I hope it is like Spirit! Carnival Spirit truly is a one-of-a-kind ship. In Australia the Napoleon Room was mainly just an extension of Empire Dining Room. It seemed to be where they sat all the really big groups who wanted to eat together. We hated it, used to call it the dungeon cause its about 3 steps lower than the main dining room and you cant see the crew dancing etc, bit isolating. In saying that we LOVE the spirit, really going to miss her.

The napoleon room is part of the MDR. Its normally used for big groups or business events. I got to use that room on my cruise to Hawaii on the Carnival Miracle as the MDR was overbooked during my scheduled meal time.

Awesome. One tip though, unless you are the first boarding group for boarding, be prepared for long waits and lines to get through the terminal. For our trip it certainly wasn't a fun experience. Disembarkation was a mess too. They have had a few more cruises since we went, so hopefully they have gotten better. The cruise though was fantastic! Have a great trip.

The 1 year gap for the next ship to get in mobile is actually so that they can dig out and expand the port of mobile so that the bigger ship can fit in the port. Currently the port is too small and the spirit would not be able to maneuver through the port. Pretty crazy!!

Last rode Spirit in 2008 San Diego south to Acapulco & back. We're aboard again April 17th in Miami & get off in Seattle (she does get around, doesn't she?). We are taking an Alaska cruise on the spirit in July of 2023. I've sailed on the Legend and Miracle (Spirit class), so I am comfortable with the layout. This past week, we took the Mardi Gras, so the Spirit is going to be a big difference in regards to size.

Unfortunately we didn't eat in the steakhouse so I can't really say how it was. Reading through the Facebook Group from our cruise, the steakhouse didn't seem to get great reviews. The staff is still pretty new, so there may be some inconsistencies in service as well as delivery. They are certainly trying, but we did find some longer wait times waiting for our food after ordering and sometimes it was just luke warm. Also, unless you are in one of the early boarding times, be prepared for long wait times at the port in Jacksonville to check in and get on the ship. Thanks for watching!

Yes 24 hour pizza in the back of the buffet area.. 24 hour ice cream in the main pool deck entryway… not a lot of entertainment right now. No 80’s dance party. They arent fully staffed yet, so as they get more experience on the crew I think things will slowly be added to the options for parties and things. It wasnt a typical Carnival experience.. Of course we were one of the first couple of cruises on the ship since they brought it to the USA.

The Serenity area is so different from ship to ship and it's hard to get a picture of what it's like through Carnival. Please consider including a complete walk through of the Serenity area in the future. Thank you!

The problem is that a lot of times areas have a lot of people in them and we try not to show to many people especially in bathing suits. The Serenity deck seems to be an area that people migrate to more than others and sometimes it’s not easy to show the area and keep it a PG video LOL. Or family friendly…

It was filmed on the March 17th cruise out of Jacksonville. It has been so long since we cruised carnival that we forgot about the tablecloths. They did have an American Table sign on the table one night, but still had the table cloths.

We aren't big casino players, no not sure I can really answer your question. That said, we saw many of the same machines in the Spirit casino as we saw in Las Vegas casinos in December. Big flashy screens. Thanks for watching.

@@TaziarTravel I heard rumours it'll be Costa Magica so not a true CCL ship from the US. I believe Splendor was originally going to be a Costa ship but CCL snapped her up at the last moment. In effect, we'll have two Costa ships here in Australia if Magica comes this way. I'm yet to sail on Splendor.

Does Spirit have the Seafood Shack?

There was no Seafood Shack. I did notice them selling seafood (king crab legs) for an upcharge at a section of the buffet. There may have been other seafood items as well. Thanks for watching!

What are the shows and entertainers?

There were no stage shows during our cruise. We had stand up comedy and then a guy came on to do a variety/comedy/music show on one of the nights. Think one man show kind of thing. There might have been a magician one of the other nights. There was the usual live music around the ship.

Hoped there would be a good tour of the serenity area and the casino. Disappointed.

Sorry about that. I am sure there are some other videos out there that may cover those in more detail. It is hard to show every detail of the ship in a single video without making it over an hour long.
