I'm on the Splendor on 21 October, so keen to know if the Cloud 9 thermal area has been upgraded in any way (it's a nice escape from the crowds)

Sounds like some good updates although a Blue Iguana would have been nice! The mini golf course looks great! It’s definitely a lot of fun! The up charges on food is starting to get out of control anymore. Nice to hear they aren’t taking away the 2 entrees, apps and desert’s options away yet. USB upgrades are a major plus! The new carpet choices are questionable. Great video and thanks for sharing!

I wish they did add a Blue Iguana. The pandemic definitely changed cruising, since then there is so many more additional charges but I guess it’s up to us whether we pay or not. USB’s is so good!! It’s much needed and appreciated. Some onboard don’t mind the carpet so not sure if it’s better in person but it definitely moves the focus away from the pink donuts. Thanks for watching.

So our ship the oasis of the seas is going in to dry dock October 1st in just about 5 weeks but were doing a transatlantic on the 21st? Thats 3 weeks after it goes in. We have to fly to Barcelona from the US. Should i be concerned about this?

Thanks for watching. I’m sure you will be totally fine. Dry dock is usually just minor changes and maintenance, new carpets, refresh type stuff. Good thing is you will have a sparkling ship. 🛳️

So is the lamps with usbs in every room? also did they replace the Mongolian wok with Asian buffet and did the bbq move to lido deck someone told me just wondering if you know it true???

Thanks for watching. I believe they are in every cabin yes. 🙌🏼 I’m not sure… Mongolian wok was always super popular and super busy, I liked it. I just had another comment saying BBQ is now opposite Mongolian wok. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Cool vibes with the new look and a refurbish ! We are booking 2025 Nov to Tasmania and our cabin we had last year is available! We loved Ol Fashion BBQ , it was a quieter area that not many peeps knew. I hope Fahrenheit 555 Restaurant is still there , it’s a must to book on the 1st night , you got a free/complimentary bottle of red or white wine ! I love the new look… minus the carpet. Lol From what I have seen, it’s no longer quiet up there now masala tiger there but I guess at least the space is better utilised. Fahrenheit 555 is absolutely still there, we plan on going there in October. They do still do the free bottle first night but some people say you have to ask for it. I’m so excited for 80s night! It’s always my favourite night… not sure about your choice in team though… 😜❤️💙 Thanks for watching and being my 440th shipmate!! 🫶🛳️

@@CruiseCrazedFam After seeing the move of Masala Tiger it makes perfect sense to have more space. It’s a great lunch ! I’m guessing more peeps were eating that then Ol Fashion BBQ and Carnival realised this. We are sailing out of Honolulu back to Sydney this Oct on RCCL can’t wait and we will be there 14 days before sailing and meeting some KZbinrs we have gotten to know ! I’m a smash hit at the 80’s night 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It would take an almost total rebuild of the 'Splendor' to get rid of the hideous decor on this ship. Painting a few things, laying some new (ugly) carpet and moving some things around won't change the fact that the Carnival Splendor is renowned in the cruise industry for its awful interiors. Then they insult passengers by removing former included food and adding more pay for food.

Word is that the BBQ is now down opposite Mongolian Wok. Would have loved to see a Blue Iguana Cantina and perhaps the Cool Room actually utilised.

Ok I'm going to miss the meat ball and Buffalo chicken but It got chicken schnitzel and Bahn Mi to replace it. I am going to miss the BBQ it was my regular lunch.

Yeah I’m sure there are still great options, my husband loves the deli. I haven’t the deli because of my allergies but will definitely sus out what I can have on my next cruise. I must have just had the BBQ on a bad day. It was so good on Luminosa it was my regular lunch there.

I rrefused to book the splendor before the drydock but happy to do so now. Changing all the manky carpet is a plus, it now looks like a casino in the lift area 🤣🤣🤣 Big bonus is the simple addition of charging lamps and the USB makes it a universal plug rather than European/US and the need for an adaptor. My first cruise since the Fairstar in 1984 will be Ovation of the Seas in November, then Crown Princess in December and I will squeeze a Splendor in next year. I don't believe in Cruise Line loyalty, the money you need to spend for bugger-all perks isn't worth it. Viva la Difference!

Thx for posting. Going on my 1st Cruise ever on this on the 18th if Sept. Bit disappointed they did'nt get rid of the bloody Pink an other mess. I'm Gay an it looks like a Mardi Gras after Party,it's a bit messy but I'm gonna have the best time,DONUTS an all😂

Golf course was so sad and needing a re do, looks so much better, usb ports great upgrade, Masala tiger option still happy with that… Mad sizzle I may try but there’s so many options as is, still think I rather save money for other things like cocktails 😜 The make up of the ship with carpets and paint, ads more unique charm to Splendor for me, I like she’s a bit different to standard ships

Hi Damien, I can tell you first hand there is a lot of gluten free options! For some reason when I tell them I can’t have dairy they default to bringing me gluten free and there is also plenty of ‘gluten free available’ options on the MDR menu.

Not all rooms are updated. On the Splendor right now, level 8 balcony. No usb ports in the room 😡 No new carpet either. Also no playlist shows at all on the cruise. 9 night Great Barrier reef cruise. Very disappointed. Thought things were meant to be getting better 🤦

What!? Really? Omg. We will be staying on Deck 8 in 2 weeks so that will be interesting. No playlist cast!?? Something had to have gone wrong for that to happen. That’s so disappointing.

@@CruiseCrazedFam So apparently Playlist cast haven't performed yet because of the turbulent seas. They are scheduled to perform 3 times prior to the end of the cruise.

@@robbariffic that makes sense. Always safety first for the cast members. Hopefully the conditions ease up for you so that you can enjoy the full experience properly. I’m surprised you didn’t get the upgrades in your cabin though.
