In some reviews they've said the Sunshine is more rocky than other ships, did you find that at all? I'd assume stability has improved to some extent in the newer/larger ships but looking at a cruise on Sunshine out of VA and would be my kids first cruise so concerned if it's a rocky ship for them, any thoughts?

Thats an interesting question. We were on 2 cruises 20 years ago and found those trips very rocky with the ship going up and down even in calm seas. And after we returned both times, we felt like the floor was moving up and down for a week. But this time, the Sunshine was very smooth, and we did not feel any rocking at all! Sue and I were very surprised. Especially since the seas were too rough to get off the ship at one of our stops. But inside the Sunshine it felt very calm. The Sunshine is almost 30 years old so maybe they improved the stabilization of the ship when it was renovated a few years ago? I don't know but we were really surprised how stable our cruise was!
