Carnival Sunshine received a total bow to stern transformation in 2013. In fact, the changes were so extreme, that the once Carnival Destiny (previous name before Sunshine) was renamed Carnival Sunshine and branded like a new ship.

Sunshine is the best 100k ton ship in Carnival's fleet. She has a ton of amenities, perennially great crews, great captain, nice rooms and the guests aboard her tend to be less rowdy than ships like Magic or Liberty

Hi Richard, thanks for watching. Carnival recently transformed the Carnival Triumph into the Carnival Sunrise. Although is was a similar update like Carnival Sunshine, many aspects were changed including the layout of the waterpark, serenity adult retreat and other onboard features. Next year, Carnival will be updating the Carnival Victory and renaming her Carnival Radiance which will be almost identical to Carnival Sunrise.

It’s a really pretty ship - I wish it had more “cool colors” like lighter taupes and blues and greens. All the dark oranges and yellows seem really 70s in style (for those of us that remember the 70s). Love the Shake Shop colors! But the amenities and layout are nice and convenient 🚢. Hi bebe loveu, thanks for watching. There may be a disconnect, Pixels is the name of Carnival's onboard photo gallery. Just about all venues on the lido deck are included in the price of the cruise except Cucina del Capitano and JiJi Asian Kitchen.

Hi Cheryl, thanks for watching. Yes, twin beds can be made into a "king" bed if you prefer. As far as worth the money, it depends on what you're hoping to get from the experience. You will get access to the Thermal Suite, however, it not that large onboard Sunshine. You'll also receive the Elemis bath products for use in your room and 10 - 30 % off spa treatments.

what is the best way to get to the port never sailed out of charleston, thinking about booking a Carnival journey cruise, not sure how to get to and from airport and from hotel to cruise port

Hi Linda, thanks for watching. Distance from Charleston airport to cruise port is not too far (20 minutes), so taxi or ride share service would be easy. Not sure what hotel you are thinking about, but some might offer shuttles.
