Interesting! What does your host family think of your meat diet? I wonder if meat prices have gone up like they have in the US? Enjoy the experience and stay safe!

They thought it was a little strange but after I explained some of the reasons they were all good with it. I would speculate that the inflation we are seeing in the US is increasing the prices of food in Costa Rica. My next stop is Colombia so I'll have a report in about a month. Cheers Kim!

I’m off the Costa Rica March 4rd and I just started carnivore 3 weeks ago and I’m nervous about being able to eat carnivore in Costa Rica. I’m trying to heal some gut issues and other health issues. I’ll be staying at a resort so nervous about getting enough meat there. Any suggestions since I don’t have access to a kitchen?

All imported beef and not grass fed, no? seems expensive.

Yeah a lot is imported but some of the beef was locally produced. The Auto Mercado store which I went to is on the pricey side and I was able to find meat that was priced a lot lower at carnecerias. There are grass fed options in costa rica, in fact, this company is great grassfedcr.com/us/
