In this video, I take a look at the Aldi online shopping section just to see what I can fit within a $50.00 budget for my Carnivore Diet. There's a ton of different directions that can be taken with this, and this time I based it off of a more broad need.

Getting back to lower carb/animal based and it's shocking how prices have gone up since I last did this (two years carnivore, leading up to covid, then life got too challenging to stick with it). The cheapest eggs at my local Aldi were $3.09 a dozen last week ugh!

Yea, I miss the 88 cent a dozen eggs at my Aldi sometimes but haven't seen that price in like a year!! Even the milk and OJ etc, I shoulda got enough to last me a couple years lol

I shop Aldis almost every week. I don't follow a budget but they have best prices around town. I also like that you never know what you will find at Aldis.

Yes please do a grass fed budget video. I'm loving you use the Aldi app. Stock up on trash cheese! I'm in Arkansas no Aldi here. My son is in Memphis they have Aldi but he does Kroger. 😮

My staples are eggs, rib eyes, wild Salmon, Alaskan Pollock, Oysters, lambs liver.

You can save money by shopping in the Aldi store. The online prices are more because they expect you to pick up curbside or deliver. If they pull your groceries, you pay more. There is a bigger roll of ground beef that would of saved you more as opposed to buying several of the smaller tubes. It is easy if you have an electric knife. Slice the tube roll with plastic on and place in ziplocks to freeze extra. This was a nice example, but you can fit more in that basket. I would have added bacon. The free range eggs are more but taste much better. For steaks, it is best to shop sales. I was getting ribeyes for $4.97 lb at Krogers for a good while.

This week my local Aldi had 75/25 ground Waygu beef for just over $4 per pound. It’s definitely lower end Waygu but still pretty tasty. 🤤

Sadly, a year after this video was filmed I put on my Aldis grocery pick up EXACTLY THE SAME ITEMS AND WAS $62.68, so $12.51 MORE😒

Love these videos! I am the only one in my family that is on a carnivore journey. If I broke our food budget down per person, I'd have about $40/wk to spend per person. I definitely eat a lot of ground meats, and I do utilize food banks/pantries to supplement. I also eat a fair amount of chicken, but would love to move to eating all or mostly beef and fish. Not sure what you may be able to come up with here. Thanks for sharing these videos!

Aldi has its own brand of irish butter i think tastes better than kerrygold. lidl does too but it was either left in a hot truck over the weekend or somehow went bad, it was awful.

Another great video Reid!! We have Aldi near us...it's just about twice as far as our local store so we don't shop there often. When we lived near Chicago we had one 2 miles from the house. That was nice. Wondering if you do your food shopping online all the time or just for the videos?? Again, great stuff bro....👍

Hi, recovering my health after destroying it being vegan for 3 1/2 years. Just wondering why you don't eat eggs? I recently discovered I am allergic to the whites, but I can have the yolks. I really enjoy and appreciate your videos.

this is no longer accurate, just saying, it may still be cheaper than other stores, but I can't say, guess it depends on your area, my beef and eggs, cost 80, also they were out of steaks, so I had to go to another store, where it was 80 as well, so around 160ish

Watch for the days that your Aldi marks down their meats. Try to shop early if you can on those days. I looked at every type of meat today checking prices and purchased the lowest price cuts. There's a lot of sticker shock for sure. We also have Save A Lot store which has marked down meat most every time. It's close to expiring so you have to use or freeze it right away.
