It was hard for me. I would recommend to start small. Try to find keto replacements for certain for foods. Eventually, you will find yourself not having to use keto foods as a crutch. The hardest part is getting fat adapted and the keto flu.

Decades ago when I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes, I went ketogenic because I never wanted to plunge needles into myself. It worked: No diabetes and I lost 50 pounds. I decided then that there was no food that I wouldn't give up for my health. Carnivore for over a year now and will continue for the rest of my life. Dropped 20 pounds, built my muscle mass back, and my hypothyroidism is healing. Age 73 and looking forward to a longer, healthier life.

In 2019 I was dying from liver disease and heart failure. I was sick and weak. Today as a result of first adopting a keto diet and then carnivore, both diseases are reversed, and I am stronger and healthier than I have been in decades. I love being strong and healthy a lot more than I like eating garbage. Meat heals, carbs kill.

Jennifer, just make it through the first two weeks with your pre-made bacon "purse bacon" if you have a craving, buy the best beef cuts you can afford at the beginning and cut out all but a couple foods you just can't get rid of beyond beef, butter, bacon and eggs. Then, after a few days, cut out another and another until you're only BBB&E. Go through your pantry and frig right away and donate or throw away things that will distract you from your goal. Like Kerry said, does it come in a box, a bag, a bottle - processed foods and seed oils GONE! BBB&E. Use lots of butter, because we women, well everyone at the beginning, but especially us, need FAT to lose FAT. Your body will realize it's getting fat in your diet, so it can release that which it was holding onto. If you run into a time of stress, you might not lose so much, as your body is scared you might need it. If after a few months, you have soft stools, decrease the fat. If you have really hard stools, increase the fat. After 90 days re-introduce one food at a time that you just used to have to have....see how you react. Chances are, your body will NOT like it any more, but if there's no change...you've just found the customized food plan for YOU. Carnivore is the perfect elimination diet to find out what works for you! Are you hooked on soda? So many say THAT was the hardest, but Dr. Berry has a video telling how HE did it with sparkling water adding more and more of that to less and less of soda and weaning himself off it. So happy for you, Jennifer! As Kerry said to Bill Nott (ck out his channel) You can DO this!!! I'm 68 1/2 today and I'm thriving - I'm one year on 7/5. I love feeling this good!

Be kind to your friend. It’s easy for you to say “do this diet and give up on the one thing that gives you a bit of happiness,” and that may be how she feels. I started this diet out of a last ditch effort to get well from several autoimmune diseases, arthritis and idiopathic neuropathy. I’ve had most of them for 22 years. When you’re in chronic pain it is very difficult to take that last little “happiness” from yourself, as there isn’t much to look forward too or get you out of bed some days. Also, it may or may not cure her, we didn’t know for sure. I’ve been on it 5 months and I’m far from cured, in fact the diet has caused me more awful symptoms I didn’t have before. I like Kerry’s excitement over getting well, but we need to be realistic, too, not everyone is going to be 100% cured. We all die, and only God chooses when. I’d like to believe I’ll get well, but as the months go on, I have stopped thinking I will be fully cured. Maybe I’ve been sick too long, or maybe I have a leaky gut or oxalate dumping or something else I have no idea of. Don’t think for one minute she isn’t suffering. Autoimmune disease sucks! I suggest you ask her to watch a couple of videos that have people saying that they have beaten their autoimmune disease. That’s why I began it. The Peterson’s, Jordan, Tammy and Mikhaila are three of those people.

Oh I’m very nice to her. I sympathize with her but I’m also very honest with my friends as I am with everybody. If you are not willing to give up what is killing you then you aren’t desperate enough. When I was in the emergency room and the doctors and nurses were doing their best to get my heart back in rhythm for the fourth time in four years I turned to my wife with tears rolling down my cheeks and said “I’m done! I can’t do this anymore”. I know what it is to hit rock bottom and I know what it takes both physically and emotionally to change your life so that you never have to go through that misery again.

@@suew4609 your body will need a good two years to clear out all the junk and toxins that have been stored over a lifetime. It will be purging as you get clean but can't remove it all at once or you will be very sick. The bad symptoms that come out at the beginning of carnivore is your body removing the junk, parasites, fungus (yes, fungus, especially if you have skin and neurological issues). It takes time to remove a lifetime of garbage from the tissues, organs, etc. Be patient with the process. Lion diet is the fastest way to get there - high fat ruminant meat, water, salt. Magnesium supplements help keep things flushing out fast so the toxins aren't accumulating.

I get this all the time. I also get "What about fibre? You need fibre", "What about your cholesterol? It's going to be so high", and "You're going to die of a heart attack". When I tell them they have been lied to about the food pyramid and that you don't need to eat carbs, vegetables, and low-fat to be healthy, they tell me, "I can't do that". People will not change their eating habits unless they get sick and are tired of taking medications. They are terrified due to being told lies about overeating on meat and animal fats. I am 56 years old and have been on Carnivore for over 3 months. I have reduced 3 medications, no more bloating, no more gut issues, and my sleep is fantastic even though I get up at night to go to the bathroom and only average 7 hours of sleep; I feel amazing, and my energy levels are the same all day. No more slumps in the afternoon; an added plus is that I have lost 8 kilos of fat and increased my muscle mass. I will never go back to eating carbs because I know what it feels like to no longer feel sick. Thank you, Kerry and Jen, for your amazing videos, and I am so looking forward to the Healing Humanity movie. Thanks Kerry so much for these videos - truly inspiring and I agree that this is the most important thing we can be talking about to improve our own lives and the world as a whole. With the surgeon general putting warnings on so many new things lately (perhaps rightfully so), I’ve for a long time now thought there absolutely 100% should be a surgeon general’s warning on junk food, such as “potentially addictive, provides little nutritive value and is known to lead to adverse health outcomes”. Honestly, children shouldn’t be able to purchase the stuff either, as they are particularly vulnerable and unable to appreciate the consequences. Also, totally unimportant, but as an actuary and stats / math enthusiast, I am compelled to correct this most common of misunderstandings about life expectancy. The life expectancy of 73 is a man’s life expectancy AT BIRTH. Life expectancy changes as you get older, continually increasing. In other words, we who are alive now have a HIGHER life expectancy than 73. For example, a 40 year old male is of course GUARANTEED to not die between 0-40. Thus, all of those ages and probabilities are removed from his weighted average, driving the life expectancy up. Indeed, An illustrative example: if you are 72 years old, it would obviously be ridiculous to say “uh oh, average life expectancy is 73, that means I’m probably about to die”. No. The average life expectancy of a 72 year old male in america is actually about 84.5. Not to mention, if you’re older than 73, then obviously your life expectancy is greater than 73! Of course, us carnivores are likely to beat the actuarial tables, which generally end at 120 years :) (although, I’m not sure I buy into all the talk about humans are “supposed” to be living to 150 - we have billions of data points of that never being the case. But we’ll see - we have about 0 data points of “carnivores” ages at death. And regardless, living a species appropriate lifestyle is going to help you live longer and much more healthfully. Anyways, just had to share this as it’s a pet peeve of mine and I imagine leads to some undue worry and anxiety for people :). Though, maybe we should be worried, as the average life expectancy continues to be dropping in recent years 🍭 🥤 🛋️ 🥔

Im 66 yo and have had to take my health into my own hands as my doctor isn't helpful. All my blood markers are fantastic after 3 yrs of keto, but because my LDL cholesterol was a little high he tried to insist I take a statin for life, I said "No." He's probably now not interested in seeing me anymore and hasn't called me back for the regular check up. I haven't had to go back to see him anyway because I am very well and feel great. Perhaps I'll seek out another doctor to monitor me. One who understands keto and carnivore. Thanku Kerry for all u do to spread the news of the PHD ❤

I've changed my lifestyle to ketogenic and now carnivore for over two years now and I have changed my life. I have to laugh when family members and people i know who are diabetic and fat slobs, heart disease patients, etc. (i used to be fat so I'm not making fun of anyone!) look me in the eye, with a straight face and tell me that what I'm doing can't be good for me! When I try to explain all of what I've come to know, like drug addicts, they try to justify what they are doing as good and what i am doing as not good. "We the sheeple" i say!

My husband is 75 and has been diagnosed with heart failure. His cardiologist has told him there is nothing he can do. He had a heart attack several years ago but recovered. At that time they could add a stent to unclog but now that is not a option. His last echo his heart ejection was 35-40%. It had gone up from 30% from 8 months earlier so his doctor was proud. We had done Carnivore part of that time so we do not know if that helped. The doctor has him on Entresto for his heart as well as some other meds. He has great blood pressure and his last A1C was 5.8 and his cholesterol was good. His doctor told him the best diet for him was the Mediterranean diet. He likes the Carnivore diet but he does not want to make his problem worse. We do not know what to do. Can anyone offer advice.

I don't think most people 'choose' food over their families. When you're in the throes of addiction it is impossible to make proper choices. Sure...there is some personal responsibility that we all need to be aware of but at the end of the day people are addicted to this garbage and they find it damn near impossible to kick the habit.....especially when the junk is everywhere AND it's promoted by society as 'normal'.

Fertility rates being low is only a crisis if you are a mega corporation. When they talk about "alarming numbers", they are talking about a reduction in how fast the population is growing. Not that the population on the planet is reducing.

No, you need to revisit this entire subject. We're reaching a population cliff for all first world countries and third world countries are following us very quickly. It isn't that the rate is slowing, it's that at some point you lose the ability to do anything other than have a population collapse.

I guess you’re not sick enough or don’t have a big enough “why?” I tried this a few years ago and failed. I felt worse doing than I did before. In a last ditch effort to get well, I’m trying again. I’m 66 and I figure it may be my last chance. You’re only 30 but you’re already having chronic pain/joint pain. Not good. You may want to give it a good try before you get worse. Who knows, it may work! That’s what I figure. I’ve been on it, but not 100% perfectly, for 5 months. I’m no where near well, but I’ve been sick for decades, so it won’t be over night. The Jordan Peterson family really convinced me by just stating what happened when they got down to eating just meat. Especially Tammy, as she had so many illnesses. Then I found Kerry, the cheerleader, to keep me going! Good luck!

One of my friends' mother has diabetes but refuses to give up sweets or really anything. She's thin but has to take insulin. She supposedly always ate in moderation too. Harsh reality of junk foods is real. Just curious, knowing what you know now, what foods and drinks do you serve your customers at your theater? If we know junk foods hurt people's health, do we continue serving them without some guilt? The point is society and what we consider "norms" in diet will always continue. Movies without popcorn or a cold drink that is not just water is a hard sell, business will continue to offer the public what they want as you probably already know.

We fought and at one point didn't speak for a year. Her losing her mind was so subtle I didn't see it until it was too late. She still drove. Until the day she fell and broke her hip.
