I live in the Welsh country side and Brambles are eating sheep. They aren't thought of as Carnivorous but i see these balls of wool everywhere. Brambles catch a lot of sheep every year. One can see the thorns face backwards on brambles and sheep get caught up in them and can't escape.

Kenny, I do not know anything (except the general stuff about birds and bees ;)) . But your talk was mind blowing to me, the plants that were talked about, the pictures that you showed....such beauty! So although I had no knowledge at all, I still enjoyed listening to what you said and clearly your love for these beautiful plants was moving. Dawkins is by far the most admirable biologist to my view, I have been following him for years, have his books, which I read and a lot of times, because of me not knowing anything about biology, I did not understand lots of things, still fascinated though. Because I have a subscription to video's by the foundation, I came to this talk. Thank you for telling, sharing, what you know and as a painter (I love to paint and I love art) my mind was blown away at the beauty!

@ 14:30, the plants that didn't primarily use soil for nutrient uptake survived. Relate that to species that can eat virtually anything and we can see the same reasoning apply. Thus, I continue to eat meat. I also eat insects. I also eat plants and fungi. I haven't even given up dairy. Now, I'm moving on and consuming GM plants. I know it doesn't really work that way, but perhaps the ability to be varied in those things which we eat as humans will promote the survival of our species.

My Mom had these venus plants in the garden and us kids would constantly touch the inside little hairs until they instantly snapped shut. Whilst we had a few of them in the garden, I'm positive they snapped shut more than 3 times! I remember as a child doing this and yes the plants seemed to have lost energy to either close all the way or move at all. But the following week they were all back to snapping shut quickly again. So his: 3 times only in their life comment, didn't make any sense to me at all. I mean I wasn't counting, but I know once the plant seemed to get tired you merely waited a few days and they were right as rain again. So... either 30 years ago these plants were stronger, or his research on that was just wrong. 3 times? Definitely not.

@@Psychol-Snooper Yes, I wasn't aware that (now watching THIS vid) that you needed to touch the tiny hairs inside the plant twice within 20 seconds. We, as kids, just touched them all over until they snapped shut. That's what they do, they instantly snap shut to catch flies etc. And by the way, way back then we ALSO knew they were devouring the flies, we knew they were carnivorous, everyone did! This: Science found out in 1989 business... maybe science confirmed our ALREADY known findings, but it wasn't a break through in science as everyone already knew it.

@@kimsland999 Well I believe the name goes back to the late 18th century so I'm guessing they knew it was killing flies a bit before the 1980's. XD

@@Psychol-Snooper Finding the part in the vid where he mentions that bees (or flies or insects) weren't actually using the plant to hide but were actually being devoured, is actually difficult on this long vid. My point was that NO one thought the insects were using the plant to hide. If anything flies etc prefer to be right in your face! They are not hiding at all. Found it 37:08

Also the catalyst for physics and a universe is "nothing". Only the universe can produce a "nothing". Something and nothing are creations by the universe and co-exist for stability. From this you have a forced reality. Edit: What I am saying is that even a state of nothing needs physics. This leads to creation... There was no before the universe state. Not enough time. No time at all. You can't even say nothing because even a nothing has to be built by physics. But it meant a "forced" universe/reality. I hope my point is clear enough. It created its own energy as it had no choice in the matter. A nothing must be built. Universe may dissolve/dilute to nothing, but this "nothing" will be a building.- something made it. This end state cannot be changed and that's it life just gone forever. That was it. End goal achieved... the construction of nothing. A nice & stable universe-created... "nothing".

If Jesus was god to whom did he pray in the mount of olives ? why was jesus scared of crusification if that was the reason he came to this earth for ? why did he pray for god to save him ? Luke 42 “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” where did jesus say im fully man and fully divine ? where did jesus talk about the original sin if that was the main cause he came to earth for ? why he didnt talk about it ? where did jesus say worship me ?but he said that you should worship the father alone Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him (only) shalt thou serve.where did jesus say im the second personality ?
