I see a name like CarnivorousChef and think oh cool. You do not look like THAT on Canovor sorry dude. So I checked out the rest of the Videos. Nope not carnivore. I checked 1 year ago, 2 year ago and 3 years ago Videos. And 4 years ago. You just cook stuff with a lot of meat, that is it. And you did not lost weight , in 4 years!!! you do not keep looking the same if you keep to a C diet.

Your recipes are brilliant and I love your openness and honesty. You are part of the solution, sharing your very human struggles with us. I had a tough year in 2024 too, and you remind me that I am human and allowed to make mistakes. I believe it is not where we are that is important, but the direction we are headed is most important. The critics are just shallow people with no lives of their own. Keep up the good work!

First of all, I love your recipes and the way you present them. Glad you are getting back on track to feel healthier. It’s just a reset. That’s what keeps me honest, cause my body sure does let me know when I slip. It’s also a better and more accepted reason than just weight loss when I turn down food & drink at social gatherings. As for the anxiety thing? It is a real struggle! I was in denial struggling with it for months until I finally addressed it. And yes, I finally succumbed to a low dose of meds which has made an amazing difference. The carnivore space is full of testimonials of how it can cure depression and anxiety, but I finally realized that it’s not true for everyone. When you are going thru tough times it may take a bit more help until you can come out on the other side. I hope that feeling better helps you to better handle whatever life throws at you. Wishing you all the best and looking forward to any new recipes you post. 💕😘💕

I’m so sorry you’ve been struggling. 2024 wasn’t good for me either. I have been fully carnivore for well over 3 months now and haven’t lost one stinkin pound, was extremely frustrated and hopeless until I watched a particular Kelly Hogan video explaining how our bodies MUST heal B4 they will let go of the fat. After that, I chilled out and accepted the carnivore WOE for healing my body first and foremost with fat loss being an eventual happy side effect. It took away so much of the anxiety and self blame. I’m more relaxed and just enjoying the experience. It’s also helping me to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel of this black hole of depression I’ve been in since the beginning of October when my personal life took a serious and unexpected hit. So happy to see you back. I love your silly sense of humor as I’ve watched your cooking videos. Let’s look at 2025 as a healthy, hopeful experience and learn to enjoy the journey together. I can definitely relate to so much of what you talked about in this video. Take care of yourself! I look forward to seeing more of your cooking videos.

Just so you know losing weight should be the absolute last check mark on your carnivore reasons for being carnivore..... You guys need to learn about carnivore it's about eliminating the bad things and letting your body slowly heal over time it's not about losing weight.... The reason so many talked about using it for losing weight because that's all people care about their appearance in the way other people perceive them also whether or not it's hard for them to walk around and feel in pain.... I don't care if you're 500 lb you should not care about the wait until your body is able to heal its metabolic disease first and then you can lose weight

I've fallen off more times than I can count, often quitting on just the 2nd or 3rd day. Once, made it for a solid 2 months. Today, 8 days in, and lost soo much of the bloating issues already. I find dairy, cheese etc bothers me moderately, also too much bacon bothers me. I find that eating just seafood for a day with butter also affected my digestion. However, when I eat chuck roast, and steak, it is like everything works right. My digestive system, my appetite etc. I wish you well, maybe try to get a week in with only beef, lamb, deer (ruminant meat). All the spinoffs in my case have bothered my digestive system.

All the best with your restart! I'm only 3 months in and was feeling great until the holidays hit me. Although I managed to avoid a total derailing over Christmas, the sweets, the sauces and certain hard-to-avoid vegetables were enough to bring the inflammation, the spells of low energy / brain-fog and the (fortunately mild) gut issues back in full force, for a couple of weeks or so. The weight started to come back too, judging by waist circumference - I do not weigh myself much - but it was a minor regression. Pre-holidays condition now mostly restored. Yep, the diet works, if the all the darn forces at large (holidays, uncooperative family, stress, bad food offered at work, etc.) don't pull you back to misery. Wish I was in the US to be able to try your spices. I'm still very grateful for all the recipes I've picked up from your videos, especially the not-mayo mayo and that easy but awesome gravy for the burger steaks. It doesn't matter that you fell off the wagon the past years, as long as you did experience the diet sufficiently to be able to share valid testimonials of your experience. And to develop recipes that help others trying to do carnivore. These things are of equal value to the doctors' advice we find elsewhere anyway. Hope you get all the results you want this time! And that your channel breaks the 100k subscribers barrier!! Almost there.

I never unsubscribed when you announced you were discontinuing carnivore and started posting the compilations because I thought there was a good chance you would be back to it. Brother, it takes real courage to post a video like this - ignore the haters, and take solace in knowing there are so many more of us that wish you love and support! Carnivore ups and downs are real for many (most?) people, and this video will encourage those who have gone through similar challenges. Thank you for sharing your journey the last few years and inspiring us! As for a 100k subscriber celebration? I think it should be 2 parts: the first part is to post maybe 3 recipes that are your 'go to', that you can eat regularly without getting bored of them very often, or perhaps a 'best of' your favorites. The second part IMO could be a small fan meetup for dinner at Fogo de Chao celebrating this new milestone. I don't know where you are in the country, but your dinner is on me if you're up for it!

My food issues started in childhood due to many family experiences and dynamics. Getting help to understand and ultimately deal with those and move beyond those. That was KEY to my emotional comfort-eating issues. While in therapy I continued carnivore. 😊 I’m now been on carnivore for 13 months and am doing great including weight loss. I don’t need regular therapy at this point but won’t hesitant to continue it if I feel the need to. I wish you all the best, guy! Do what you need - it’s YOUR life - and no one else’s. The why carnivore is important. In February it will be one year for my husband and I starting carnivore. Food has had a hold on me for my entire life. An addiction if I’m being honest. Since starting the carnivore way of eating, my weight loss has it stalls. The important part though, is how I feel, which is Fantastic. I have tried some foods I’d never thought I’d eat- such as a 72 hour sardine fast( canned mackerel, tuna, salmon, kippers). The fast was an enlightening moment for me. How satiating those little canned fish is amazing. Welcome back to your carnivore lifestyle! I’m cheering you on! Looking forward to more FUN vids from you.🎉

I relate to all you are saying so much. I struggle with health related anxiety too. it’s so hard. I did carnivore well for a bit last winter. Then I went on a cruise with my son and stayed on carnivore for three days. Then on day four I went off and ate what I wanted but never got back on. I started carnivore hard core ten days ago and I already feel amazing and my clothes fit better. Haven’t weighed myself. But I’m not doing this for weight loss. I want to heal so much things. And if weight sheds along the way that will be nice. I also get sort of derailed when I’m with others. I had a friend talk negatively about carnivore to me (but only reasons why she wouldn’t do it) and I internalized her thoughts so much I made them my own. But like you, I’m not going to give others my power anymore. I can’t believe how good I feel and it’s only day 10. I have so much energy, sleeping better, more productive. I even find myself smiling more!!! You deserve to feel good. So do I! I love listening to Laura Spath because she takes away the perfectionist view on this for me. Like if I can’t do it perfectly I may as well not do it at all? That’s a trap I don’t want to get caught in anymore. Anyway. You can do it! You are worth it!

Wow, this video has hit home with me on a monstrous level. I had been on a strict whole foods keto diet for most of 23 & 2024. Around Thanksgiving, i gave into a huge splurge meal which had sent me down the rabbit hole of a 3 month long binge, eating & drinking everything that isn't good for me. I've been dreading the switch back to keto ( although I've always imagined carnivore to be the perfect solution for myself). This video gives me hope that it can be done, & the knowledge that if a person is motivated for reasons (Other than weight loss), than hopefully my transition back won't be nearly as difficult back as I'm picturing it to be. * Whatever life change you experienced, I'm so terribly sorry!! Just never forgot Who you are & that you have nearly 100K people that love and admire you. (Me included) ❤ Whether you lose another pound or not, i want you to wake up every morning and be proud of the man looking back at you thru the mirror! You've helped me with countless recipies... i just wish i could somehow help you realize how damn special you are to (not only social media) but the world!! ❤ You Got This !! Honestly, I'm literally just like you. I always think the worst of any symptom I have and I actually have severe anxiety and clinical depression. Also, there are times where I'm not losing anything on carnivore and I've started to realize that, at those times, my body is busy healing. Don't let people talk down to you. You just love your body and your body will fix itself in it's own time. ❤️

Welcome back! I lost 60lbs in 5 months at the end of 2021 and beginning of 2022. The past 2 years I have been off and on and gained back 20. I committed again on January 1st and down 8lbs. Went back on for mental health and that has also greatly approved!

Subscribed! I liked your video. Started Carnivore Aug 2024 lost 33lbs and felt fantastic physically and mentally. Christmas arrived and i got lazy and started eating whatever i wanted. The short story is felt like crap gained some weight and forgot what it felt like to feel good. Im back on the wagon now and 3 days in can already feel the benefits. Just gotta keep telling my self 95% of the food out there is just poison and stick with single food ingredients. Hang in there bro we can do this!!

Your comments about justifying eating the things that we know aren’t good for us struck a chord with me. I can talk myself in, out and around almost anything. I decided this year no more “thinking”. Thinking is when all the trouble starts. I KNOW what to do. Just do it. Push play on the next video in my workout routine, fast until my alarm goes off, only eat a proper human diet. And I KNOW it works. Anyway I empathize and it’s a personal journey and always a personal decision. No one else matters. Only you do.

Thanks for your honesty. I, too, just came off a period of the “f”-it’s. No excuse, just my sugar addiction brain running riot. I liked your comment about relearning. Turns out, yes, I am a sugar addiction and no, I can’t moderate. I was attracted to carnivore because of mental health issues as well. When results didn’t happen in my time, I lost heart. I’m now back on track because I know how good I can feel. “Success is getting up one more time than you fall down.” Love your recipes and love your humor! All the best.

I first started out years ago goin low carb (Atkins), when I stopped losing I then eventually went on to Keto, lost about 30 lbs and then stopped. I started Carnivore on Jan 1st, too. I've lost some weight but more important than that I FEEL so much better. I have had issues with inflammation in different parts of my body and I can see relief and healing already going on. I'm in it now to feel better. Losing weight and looking good will just be side benefits. Thank you for your honesty and encouragement! 👍👍👍

Hi Reed... I'm glad that you are eating Carnivore again. I can tell you that I had started with losing weight on the ketogenic diet, and just like you, I got stuck for a good while, not losing any weight. One of the things that I was doing while on Keto was I was allowing myself to drink alcohol occassionally. Well, I think that was a lot of my problem then. So I committed to quitting alcohol, which I am very glad I did. (Also, I ended up gaining all my weight back on top of drinking alcohol at the time). So now, I do not drink alcohol in any form, I've been doing Carnivore for about a year and 2 months, and I'm down 50 pounds. So I will continue and I wish the best of luck for you to continue on Carnivore as well. Another thing recently... I've been trying to get out and walk a bit and get my body moving some. That also may help you. Again, good luck to you this year. My thoughts are with you.

This is exactly what brought me back to carnivore as well. Major personal changes and depression. Didn't care. Just wanted to be numb. But carnivore made it hurt less. Less depression. Less pain. I dont want to hurt so I eat meat. I dont care anymore what anyone else thinks anymore. I'm sorry it had to come to that for you but I'm glad you got there.. and... I bought your first cookbook and would definitely buy another!

Thank you for this honest video. It always inspires me more than other types of videos. I keep starting and then stopping carnivore. I need to lose weight, but I'm 71 and so tired of pain in my knees, feet, hips, shoulders, neck and back. I just want to get healthier and feel better. I am not wild about meat, always loved eggs and know how to make them a million different ways, but am getting a little tired of them. I even got tired if bacon, but I'm liking the thick sliced Applewood bulk bacon in the meat case. I like variety and I get bored with carnivore options. At 71, I can't eat as much as carnivores recommend. 2 eggs is about it for me, along with 2-3 slices of thick bacon. And, I can hardly even look at a hamburger patty. I do have an awesome meatball recipe that has bread crumbs, but I'll use something else, ginger, nutmeg, onion, egg. They are delicious. Glad to see your sausage gravy recipe in a breakfast bowl. Glad I found your channel.

Hey Reid. Thanks for sharing and opening up. I've also struggled with depression and anxiety and I find I do well on more carnivore and less beer. I also started taking 20mg of Melatonin supplement about an hour before bed, which I only started to do about a week ago. It seems to be making a big difference for me and I've been told by a health professional it won't do any harm to try it out.

We are all a work in progress. Just remember that the carnivore or meat based way of eating is about improving YOURSELF....your health, most importantly. Do your best, and if you slip, forgive yourself and get back on program. Just keep going, even if you slip. Youre still doing better than you were before carnivore!!

I've been carnivore for a year and have hardly lost anything but I'm not gaining. I have lots of internal healing going on so I keep on carnivoring because I'm feeling better esp when I eat carnivore foods. I will do a ketovore dish periodically because they are yummy. We all need to find our "why" in wanting to do this way of eating. We lose that why sometimes so don't beat yourself up over it. You have been doing great over the past number of years. Carnivore or keto is not a magic pill so it does not work spectacularly for everyone so no one should judge how much weight you have lost or how fast/slow that has been. High cortisol, insulin resistance, high leptin levels, high blood glucose levels, or lipedema conditions can all have an affect on our ability to lose weight, even on this way of eating. We all didn't get "fat" overnight so don't expect to get "unfat" overnight either. Keep doing what you're doing...you're on the right track for you.

Very well written. Many of the things you write are reflected in my experience of about 2 years low-carb / keto, before I started to drift into canivore more recently. I would highlight cortisol levels, which, most often, can be from frequent stress and/or from bad sleep. High cortisol will then sustain higher blood sugar, higher insulin, more hunger, etc.

64yo female here. Your recipes remind me what to cook. It sounds stupid but sometimes I just need to watch one of your videos to get my butt in the kitchen and feed me and hubby. I rock in the kitchen but this carnivore thing is a big leap to another realm. I started carnivore for health and didn’t care abt weight. My stomach problems started about 10yo. I can’t get away with heavy cream and aged cheese, It sucks. I still give in and either get a headache or indigestion. It sucks. I cheat once in a while with lettuce and tomato and then my back hurts. It sucks, I cheated once with bread pudding on my 25th anniversary and that sucked so bad that I won’t do that again. We are grateful for your food. Thanks.

It's hard that's for sure. I was going strong on the diet until November and then I've been off it for 2 1/2-ish months. I had initially lost 50lbs and then over those months of not eating carnivore I gained back 30! All the health issues that were slowly going away came back too... So I've been trying to buckle down again and managed to get back on the wagon about 4-5 days ago and already lost 5lbs. I understand your struggle and appreciate your honesty. I wish you the best on your journey!

Welcome back! Sounds like you've been through quite a lot. The thing about weight - weight changes (gains or losses) are a symptom. "Weight loss" as a goal, in and of itself, is a recipe for failure. It's something to monitor, just like we monitor our blood pressure, etc.

I was on and off carnivore for a while as well because I would just be focusing on the weight loss aspect of it. And because of that I would lose 15 or 20 or 30 pounds and then end up going back to eating shitty for a while and then get back on it to lose weight. but not until I changed my mindset to thinking more about overall health and longevity. Have I actually been able to stick to it without even thinking about cheating anymore. Before I would look forward to a certain holiday or birthday to have an excuse to eat something crappy, but now with my birthday right around the corner, I have zero intention of going off of carnivore because I genuinely feel my best on a carnivore diet. I am definitely sticking to it for life now and I know the weight will all come off with time and my body will regulate itself when I reach my optimum weight. So I know your struggle just stick to it.

For the cold months I will be carnivore, the non cold months I will try rice in the rice cooker with chicken and veggies and sometimes pizza. I'm only carnivore to feel good and lose weight fast, it's not a forever diet for me. Don't be afraid to eat the same things every day, who cares about your taste buds. It's about making your body feel good, that's what matters.
