On the cost issue. I think people are looking at it the wrong way. What's your life worth? We cut our monthly subscriptions, eating out far less often, defer phone upgrades, shopping at thrift stores, check for grocery sales, etc. Luxury to me means health and eating great cuts of meat.

My husband started the carnivore over 10 months ago and he has lost over 60 lbs which is amazing. He struggled with an auto immune disease, snoring, high cholesterol, was pre-diabetic, etc. Since making this change, his snoring has subsided, he’s not dealing with auto immune, no high cholesterol or diabetes. He often gets asked about high cholesterol, but tells them it’s been good. It’s worked in his favor to be on carnivore. Thank you for being real and transparent about your experience and journey along the way. 😊

I’ve been on it for a year, I’m so fit now, I’m as aerobically fit as I was in my late 20s, I’m 62 in April and I am Re building muscles, I lift weights every day, today I did 10 chin up x 2 sets, I’m no longer ashamed of my body. No more snoring,no longer hypertensive, testosterone through the roof libido ⬆️, no aches and pains, teeth never covered in plaque, no more brown stains on my shins ( sign of hypertension) I’m doing things I never thought I’d do again such as riding enduro motorcycles, sea kayak fishing and long distance mountain walking. Laura you and Chris have done absolutely amazing things, you both look fantastic! I can not believe how different you both look! People have asked my employees if I had got cancer because of my weight loss 🤣, or they also don’t recognise me if they haven’t seen me since last year. I love it! I wish more people discover this way of life, it’s a game changer for your health and fitness. Thank you both.🥩🐷🐏🥓🍳🐔🍖🥚🍳❤️

Hi Laura and Chris, loved your best and worst emmision. Laura your KZbin episodes were some of my first carnivore encounters and later on I found Dr Ken Berry, Dr Anthony Chaffee etc but you and Chris were my inspiration because it was the best demonstration, you were both huge and troubled by the side effects of the modern way of eating, you successfully turned all that around. No further proof is required than looking at your before and today photographs. 7 years now is all the proof needed. So many thanks and also thanks for demonstrating that a little flexibility with types of meat and seasonings has kept you on track. My names Rob and I live in Kent, UK. I am in my 19th month of carnivore now and I dropped from 220lbs to 154lbs over that period although I was 260lbs at my worst. I started this journey trying juicing, vegetarian, vegan (nearly killed me) followed by ketogenic which is when I discovered your channel, nothing beats carnivore for me, I'm so stable on it, and never tire of meat. So 19 months in on top of the weight benefit here's a list of the horrid things I lost, stopped snorring (better sleep), stopped eczema and my skin is now much more youthful and feels smooth and slightly waxy, my tear ducts work now, I don't get blocked ears from wax, in fact my hearing has measurably improved, libido improved and depression and anxiety just melted away. Massive improvements have occurred in my courage to live, I can cycle 120+ miles per week and swim 1000 yds, I am mid sixties now and feel like I am in my 20s again. I haven't quite solved the socialising scene yet since locally it revolves around dinner parties and alcohol consumption but I have substituted this for my wonderful cycle club and gym. I am optimistic to discover how much further my condition will improve since my muscles continue to grow and reform like my skin. I see the same transformation in your photos. I really celebrate your huge kindness in sharing your journey with us strangers who now enjoy the benefits with you. I send you both and your family my very best wishes, Rob

I think one of the hardest parts is sticking with it consistently, long enough to really reap the full benefits. I just watched a video about a guy who’s blood sugar numbers were 500, ended up in the hospital, on insulin , etc then at about three months into carnivore had completely reversed his diabetes. Whereas I’ve been on it a couple of weeks, which I know is a short time, but my blood sugar numbers have not dropped at all. I think it gets back to the “everyone wants quick results”, but everyone’s body is on a different timeline. Hard not to compare yourself to other people who seem to drop weight so quickly and reverse all their symptoms ain no time at all. Thanks for the video and for addressing the grief side of giving up the foods that are familiar and bring your comfort.

From me: BEST - More energy from eating this way and the way less and simple cooking. WORST - Dealing with people who don't understand and the feeling of isolation since carnivore is considered radical (e.g. family gatherings, eating out, church potlucks). From husband: BEST - That he will gain better health eating this way. WORST - That he can't eat rice or potatoes.

If you haven't lost weight in 2 1/2 years on carnivore you likely need to eat more food. You may be in a chronic deficit and until you feed your body it will cling to the excess weight. You also need the food to heal hormones and this is very important for women of all ages.

What I miss the most when I go full carnivore is that there is nothing acidic you can have. I love all things acid … lemon, lime, tomato, vinegar, fermented foods. And, while animal products have a few antioxidants and polyphenols, for me, some higher antioxidant plant sources like green tea, berries, etc., are too important to eliminate entirely in this day and age of toxic pfas, pesticides, and herbicides everywhere, esp. in the feed that most of the farmed animals live on every day.

Hardest part for me was the feeling of missing out. Seeing others who were able to just eat whatever and not gain weight. Not have any obvious health issues. Feeling depressed because i was the one who had to be so strict and intentional about what i ate. I just wanted for once to be like everyone else. My entire life was a "diet" it absolutely consumed me and i hated it. It took a long time to learn to accept the fact that if i wanted to be healthy and achieve a normal weight, i was just going to have to do what was right for me and quit comparing my lifestyle to others.

My "worst" is that there is not any "convenience" food. I am not a fan of leftovers, so if I want to eat, I have to cook. I am trying to get better about plan ahead, like the meatballs, where they get cooked, not reheated.

I think steaks are not for me. They can be good .. but I think a nicely braised roast can be better. And lots of beef options are a whole lot cheaper than steaks! I like hamburgers; they're a great option for the rest of the family as well. Finding hotdogs without added sugars or starches is really hard, though

Eat more fat.

Add more fat, fat makes very soft stools. If you get diarea, you added too much. Just cut back a little.

You have to figure out what works for YOU! I have been carnivore for a year, and it is worth it to me to be healthy and happy. My diet choices are different from yours but my body thrives on what my choices are. It's a lot of trial and error as to what works for you.

Thank you! For me the worst of carnivore is having to cook! Thank God for the Air Fryer I use is daily for my burgers and filets. Chicken and pork chops! I would love to have meatballs and carnivore pizza now and then! I use garlic powder and mustard. full fat plain yogurt and cheese (oh yes lots of cheese) My gosh I get more questions about not drinking than the food lol. Anyway, I lost the weight I wanted to and bought new clothes so carnivore for life!!! Cheers

Great job!! and you are so right, I work with a lot of sales people in my corporate job and not drinking is a much bigger question than not eating carbs. haha

I failed at your crispy chicken yesterday (I have a video if anyone wants to watch). I cooked on electric burner stove with stainless steel and ghee on #6 and it burnt the skin. 2nd go around I tried on #4 and I put in oven after 7 min. Didn't get crispy enough(nothing like your video) , should have probably did the whole 10 min or more on top. Oh well , all 4 thighs were still really good. But I need to tweak more I guess.
