I could be wrong but my understanding is that lambda is what shows stoichmetric ratio, which is 0.99 (esentially at 1), and that is the perfect ratio. So yes this guy is dead wrong. Kafengo.... 2. Every car has a different point of throwing the check engine light due to fuel ratio correction. Again, i could be wrong but i have never seen one that throws a CEC at 5%. It's usually ÷-15% to +- 25% on most cars. Happy to be corrected with facts.

The info that diagnostician gave u was incomplete n almost inaccurate coming from KZbin mechanic not a real mech and yes he can get the readings immediately from the short term fuel trim he doesn't need to wait for the long term fuel trim. When a car runs reach 95% of the time is problem with air could be un-metered air, sensors measuring air AIT, lambda sensor, vacuum leak even piston rings if the car is old the 4% is leaky fuel injectors then 1% spark plug. Aki shindwa ku fix ni tafute.

it's so sad that in the name of recarpetting the southern bypass ( which was totally unnecessary), they just ruined one of the best self-maintaining roads. Obviously, this was a pretext for someone to benefit at everyone's expense. It pains me every day I use this road.
