First Drive (FINALLY!) In My Stage 1 SEAT Leon Cupra Mk2
Yes, it's finally here. The first drive video since I got 'Leo', SEAT Leon Cupra Mk2 remapped at AmD Tuning in Essex. In this video I'll be going through my experiences since I've had the car remapped and also talking through what I think of the Cobra non-res catback exhaust.

An induction kit would be a nice addition. It gives you some nice turbo noises in the cabin and you can hear the recirc valve chirping. I would recommend the Revo Induction kit

I'd avoid Milltek as in my experience they are on the quieter side compared to other aftermarket options. Thanks for watching 👍🏽.

Nothing wrong with this as a family car it's a hatchback plenty big enough. For some reason some people think you need a suv once you have a child. Far as I can tell all you need is a baby seat, baby bag and pram which you can fit easily in a regular hatchback

I have the same car (wrapped in grey) and the stock power at the dyno show 262. My mechanic said that no turbo car has the power that the company usually announced....

@@redlineracing4947 You're not wrong, but it wasn't for me, plus it's a three door so it won't be as practical once the baby's here. The Leon isn't unreliable, either, and I'd argue it's a proper hot hatch as well. Plus, I didn't really want to mod the EP3 as I wanted to keep that as original as possible and there's only so much to can so to tube a naturally aspirated engine. Merry Christmas to you as well.

I have a leon 2.0 tfsi fr, not a clue what it's had done to it but its rapid 😂 other than the obvious 4 exhausts at the back. great cars for the money 👍

If you had went to rtech for your map he has unique traction control software he uploads so you can keep the throttle pinned but it dont hesitate the power it kind of smooths the traction cut out so it still pulls

Thanks for the heads up, but R Tech was twice the distance and more expensive. AmD Tuning weren't too far away, offered a remap and exhaust, plus they have a decent reputation. Thanks for watching 👍🏽. EDIT: Just to add, I think my car would be too low for the R Tech Dyno as well.

Ive got clutch slip as well mate in lower gears at about 4k rpm be progressive with the throttle. Upgrade clutch for me next year.

Been looking forward to this one,I've got one myself that's stage 1 and have the same issue with clutch slip when the torque overpowers it at around 4000 revs, but find it fine at higher revs👍

Your right stage 2 isn't worth it so people go stage 2+ which means uprated intercooler, uprated fuel pump, uprated clutch so a lot of money you get you another 60-80bhp

AMD Tuning did my car too and not sure their rolling road is generous. My Stage 1 S3, technically mapped for 350-360 bhp, got a 337bhp on their rolling road and 400bhp after Stage 2 which is the figure expected. Grats on Stage 1 though, defo worth it and just software so on the cheap side still. Any plan for stage 2 or more?

I’ve got a mk2 cupra k1, worth the remap? What would you guess a 0-60 time is? I got 6 flat stock think it’s running just over the 240 quoted from factory

Hi Reece, Merry Christmas to you, and thanks for watching. I'd definitely say it's worth the remap! I've used a few 0-60 calculators online (granted they won't be 100% accurate) and I've got an average of 4.96 seconds. I doubt it would do that in real life as it would struggle for traction. I reckon somewhere in 5.5-6.0 second mark would be more realistic.

@@CarObsession I was thinking of going stage 1 remap and stage 2+ later but my clutch has 118k on it so not sure it will take any tuning! CDL engine on mine, I've got most parts for stage 2+ except for clutch and fuel pump.. decisions!

You will definitely need clutch id say at that mileage if you go Rtech he can limit the torque to save clutch. Ive just had helix clutch fitted and stage 2 Airtec and vis freewheel procket. Will be sending mine to Rtech for the last few bits then stage 2 plus.

Do you mean I do have an electronic diff? If so, that applies to the facelift as that has XDS, pre facelift didn't get that.
