My First EVER Remap! - SEAT Leon Cupra 240 Stage 1 (AmD Tuning)
Hello guys, and welcome back to Car Obsession. So here it is, finally, the video in which I get 'Leo' my Mk2 SEAT Leon Cupra 240 remapped to stage 1. I went to AmD Tuning to get this done, and I also had a new Cobra Non-Res exhaust fitted at the same time for good measure.
The standard car makes 240hp with 300Nm, and the stage 1 should take it to 300hp and 431Nm - but what was the actual result? Will I be happy with it?

I own a cupra r mk2 and my stage 1 remap gave me 350bhp without induction kit just r8 coil packs ngk iridium plugs and performance panel filter and full stainless exhaust boom💥

Bloody hell was I off on the stock dyno figures prediction lol. That's really good gains my friend made only less in his revo mapped mk2 cupra r with exhaust, and induction kit. He later took the cats out, added a down pipe and updated fuel pump got it mapped by r tech to 377bhp

really big numbers. I own a cupra R 1p with 265 cp stock and the stage 2+ tune only gave me 330bhp. Hardware installed: -ramair oversized air intake -decated dp (stock pipes after dp) -HPFP Vis Motorsports -RS4 FRV. my tuner told me to install these next for around 370 bhp: -FMIC -turbo actuator -full non-restrictive exhaust

Good evening guys, and welcome to this long awaited video in which I get my first EVER remap done to one of my cars. More specifically, it's for my Mk2 SEAT Leon Cupra 240, which I took to AmD Tuning for a stage 1. Was I happy with the results? Watch to find out. Edit: Oh yeah, the number plate - that wasn't done as I needed to send paperwork off to the DVLA unexpectedly (we were able to do the plate for the Type R online and it was instant...)

AMD did my remap stage 1 2 yrs ago on my mark 3 cupra running 355bhp. Pocket rocket Have run but watch those front tyres they wear fast when giving it the beans

325bhp is really good power for Stage 1. I only got 335bhp from Stage 2 on my MK2 Cupra. Although my car is at Stage 2+ now making 370bhp

Finally got mine done mate after having to buy 2 new injectors and having the other 2 refurbished. Result was 326.9bhp and 464.9nm torque.

My mk2 R was 278 stock with a RAM Air intake, beautiful cars :p You might want to get an 034 dogbone mount insert as that was the best mod I bought for mine (it tightens all the gear changes!)

@@CarObsession I hear you mate every is a nightmare at the moment. Dropped mine back at AMD yesterday as they discovered s misfire on 2 cylinders so they are taking injectors out and sending them to be cleaned and rebuilt then mapped.

How bad really is the fuel on these thinking of buying either a cupra or k1 I have a mk2 FR pd170 so I can do like 130 mile on £20 do you think you can even do 70 on 20 ?

A remap is theoretically meant to give BETTER fuel economy because the idea is that you'll be using the engine's torque more, therefore you'll be using less of the rev range and won't need to use as much of engine's horsepower. The problem is, when you have the extra power you'll want to use it more, especially when you couple it with a fruity sounding Cobra Exhaust. To be honest, in my experience I'd say the fuel economy has been a little less than before , but having said that, the majority of driving I've been doing lately is town driving whereas beforehand I had done some longer journeys. What milage was your cupra on when you did the stage 1 also was you on stock clutch I have just taken my k1 for stage 1 and what an animal it now is however on 111k miles my clutch is now slipping with the extra power so saving up for a helix organic

You need to upgrade brakes and tyres for that performance.

Hi Eddie, thanks for watching, but I disagree. The brakes on the vehicle are already strong (I think the discs aren't much smaller than the S3 of the same era, plus one can argue they are over assisted), and it's fitted with Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres. I've not once had an issue braking so I'm confident in the stopping power.
