I watched a lot of Carol Burnett over the years but I don't think I've ever seen this episode. That made me cry.

Lucille Ball was a legend, but Carol Burnett has eclipsed her. Carol is most definitely the 'Queen of Comedy', and the funniest woman on the planet and has been for quite some time. I remember when her show started in 1967. I had just graduated high school that summer. When my wife and I were married in 1971 we watched 'The Carol Burnett Show" every Saturday night. There was NEVER a night when she did not make us laugh out loud! Thanks for the memories Carol. If you've never watched Carol's movie, "Friendly Fire", please do so. It shows what a great actress she is. I served in Vietnam with the Army and was severely wounded in 1969 so this movie has always been special to me. I saw 'friendly fire' really happen in 'Nam when a young soldier was killed by a round from his own mortar platoon.

I was born in the late 90s. Parents raised my sisters and I with entertainment and comedy such as Carol Burnett. This show is so amazing to watch and laugh along to. This is my first time watching this and in all honesty it made me cry. We’ve never seen comedy like this for a long time. Pure gold.

I was born in 90 but I had the same experience. We watched black and white movies/TV, Technicolor, and knew all the old Disney films, too. I also have an appreciation for things like swing and jukebox music. Seems like kids these days only like stuff that comes out during their lifetime, and if it's 5 years old it's "old." lol Personally, I think the old stuff is far, far better than the new.

A very superb actress. I always felt" at the height of her popularity' tv sitcoms like all in the family or the jeffersons should have written her in as a quest on an episode or two. Yet it never happened. It would have been interesting to see how miss burnett worked her comedy magic alongside legends like Jean Stapleton or Sherman hemsley. Or most of all carol o conner. Gosh that would have been a comical treat. To see archie bunker in the same film with miss carol burnett. The two comical Carol's. Yet it never happened. Still. Grateful for what comic fans received. God bless you carol.
