Cate handles people so well. Even the most awkward, nonsensical of questions, she somehow makes them interesting. I am aching to see this film, but I know I will feel lost after as we will probably have to wait years & years before people as talented as this make another beautiful love story.

+Lucy Fer - I hope I am wrong ! Cate /Rooney couldn't win an Oscar in 2016 because CAROL is a gay movie ! The movie is not even nominated in Best Picture which is to me ridiculous !!
@wolfstar6758 жыл бұрын
C Yoh "Carol" isn't really a "gay" movie it's more than that despite the fact that the two main characters are women and develop feelings for each other. Blue Is The Warmest Color is more of a "gay" film. Besides Brokeback Mountain was for Oscars remember.
@cravenyoh8 жыл бұрын
+Enrique Godinez - more sex is a more GAY movie ?? a gay movie is a gay movie .. There is nothing 'more' or 'less' , it is a feeling that one feel for the same gender .It is also a beautiful love story , so beautifully made , which we hardly see nowadays . I do hope both of them win an Oscars , it is a fact that it is already omitted in best director / best film in Oscars nominations ..

I love Rooney in this movie. Everyone likes to talk to Cate no matter what interview there is. Rooney is extremely intelligent. At times when I look at Rooney she reminds me of a Greek goddess. The shape of her face, her gorgeous eyes. She’s exquisite, exotic, beautiful. But yet again everyone concentrates on Cate’s looks.

@latinaalma19473 жыл бұрын
I love how intelligent Cate is, it shines out of her face and her every statement...it informs all her roles...she is, I think, the most beautiful HIGH intellgence actress of our time. People tell me I am an American Cate Blanchett, which is a high compliment to me...an academic clinical psychologist, I had troublle in my early career being taken seriously as an academic. It is one career where being blonde, female, and passably easy on the eye, it is something you have to overcome to be taken seriously...once you have a track record and are known by your academic reputation then you DO get respect of your colleagues, but at first glance you get the thousand yard "dumb blonde what is SHE doing here" stare.

Rooney is so beautiful, mystical and delicate that I could easily get lost in her eyes but my God Cate is from another planet. Not just her looks but the way she talks, her voice, wisdom, elegance...everything she does is perfect so I understand why Rooney in all interviews kept saying she did not have to act a lot and that it was basically just her reacting to Cate
@vokkkkov26345 жыл бұрын
I am of the same opinion about Cate.Phenomenal actress and outstanding woman
@melrodriguez14015 жыл бұрын
Of course, it is a film that offers another aspect more warm, emotional and real repressed feelings of a relationship between two women, when this has always existed, only used to make movies for the morbid of men and even though more repressed , of women, without considering those relationships where love arises, as it arises between a man and a woman, where their situation is not only sentimental but also social and even more economic, and this is part of what is touched, the inequality and the discrimination still existing for women, because even in this, the films between men have taken the Oscar, - and men charge more - but one like this that really is a work of art as much for the music, the scenography, the setting, the direction, the performance, etc., are really so impressive, that they reach the heart and that it gives a different approach and as they say themselves, it would be foolish to think that from this movie There is a long way to go, but it shows that yes, that you can already play this song among women, and that actresses like Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara dare to do it! I have seen how In the course of the promotion, the questions have been more than analyzing the relevance of the same. has tried, especially Cate, with morbid and rude, even to question their sexual preference, and as she says well "who cares?", she always giving intelligent and always friendly answers with a smile, is the theme and what's important and what the film entails! I do not remember Tom Hanks having received a similar attitude from the media, this has been historically, and even in the academy, women are still left aside. My English is not very good, but I hope I made myself understood
@attasvanpatatas55189 жыл бұрын
You can see Mara is totally in awe of Blanchett - mind you who wouldn't. Blanchett seems at times uncomfortable with it. These interviews must be quite nerve wrecking for them.
@ziomararodriguez33048 жыл бұрын
U mean cate.uncomfortable of rooney staring at her? Any minute in particular?
@giorgiocaptain73208 жыл бұрын
+Attas van Patatas well one may very well see there is an evolution in their body language. In Cannes Mrs Blanchett seems unwilling to surrender to Mrs Mara's reactions. But in a few months (in London for instance) there is a complete reverse... Is it because she cares and she decides to promote her young colleague self image or this emotional interest became a physical experience? Soon Mara becomes more powerful and Blanchett seems destructed... Who knows!
@cravenyoh8 жыл бұрын
+Giorgio Captain : You have great observations .. I watched the interviews again etc .. Rooney has been consistent in her body language , as for Cate she has been quite 'evasive' and sometimes 'unnatural ' ...I hope all the best for them in their careers / personal life as long as they are happy :)

I thought that only in Mexico there were journalists who ask such stupid questions and not concentrate on the message itself of the film, which talks about the insights and the inconveniences that there are due to their own, society, etc. and that they cause desolation fear, incomprehension when it comes to people of the same sex and even more when they are women, between men it has been accepted more and among women it is still taboo. That "journalist" from Bangladesh was very morbid and ill-intentioned, Cate was as always very kind and elegant when answering. The film had to take the Oscar for photography, the environment, music, acting, direction and the theme itself! Those of the academy are still prudent and discriminatory.

The day after you have given birth you think "Right every single medical staff person here has seen me naked and groped me so I could easily limp down this hall fully naked NOW and not bat an eye."
