The way Carol ran this show was sheer genius. She once said the show was so successful because she hired the best talent, and then got out of their way and let them do what they do. She had no ego in the show. As funny as she was, she didn't need to be the one to get the laughs.

One of my favorite parts is when the fly lands on the book. Harvey is already in stitches, and knows what Tim is about to do. You can see him just waiting for him to flop his hand over, and as soon as he does, you can see Harvey gently nod with approval of Tim's perfect timing. This is still funny after having seen it dozens of time. Tim's genius was finding that loose comedy thread, then tugging on it relentlessly. The ultimate compliment is the ability to make other comics laugh. Breaking Harvey had to be the biggest for Tim.
