My dad also got a big kick out of them. I can remember watching these shows with him when I was too young to drive so this is what we would watch. I laughed along although I didn't always quite get the humor. Those memories make watching these types of videos very special.

Dean Martin never, Ever, laughed as HARD as he did, around anyone, but Foster Brooks. The Chemistry between those two was utterly amazing! Several times they would veer off script, and do the whole segment by improvising, actually bringing the laughing Audience to tears! They'll never be Pure and Clean Comedy like that again.

Travis Carlson: 'Good of a Comedian Foster Was'? Only the inebriated could give this kind of kudo to Brooks. He pales by comparison to Rickles and Martin for trying to match their level of drinking comedy. The laughs from RIckles were more like charity laughs for a failed fake drunken bum. Same said for those laughing their asses off; just giving applause(laughs) to go along with the Rickles and the crowd in charity mode for him; Brooks just as disgusting as ever.

So strange that the general view on public intoxication swayed in the 1980s, making Foster Brooks stop doing this act. It's 2023 and I still laugh at this skit. I was born in the 70s and laughed at this always, also Benny Hill, Brooks, Dean Martin and all the greats. What is wrong with the general public is the question really. Foster Brooks didn't drink, but he played the drunk to perfection. Martin loved his comedy which was why he was on his TV shows so often and his celebrity roasts. Because of all this PC bullshit, we will never see their likes again. As for Martin, with comics like brooks and winters he wouldn't rehearse because he wanted his reactions to be true and honest.
