This is a dream come true, first the vocal of Carole and now a duet with Micky! One of my favorite Monkees songs! Thank you for this masterpiece!

This sounds just fine. Great job. They're both singing to the same rhythm tracks, and in the same key. Once the Monkees got beyond the P,A,C & J LTD. album, it was agreed that each member of the group could be responsible for their own songs, so Carole King just sent her tapes along to the group, already finished. You can imagine my amazement when I saw the Monkees in 1989, with Micky singing the lead, in this same key. Truly a concert highlight.

not sure if I should do something similar to it with the sometime in the morning guide mix, they're much closer to each other so realistically if I got the speed/pitch right they'd fit like a glove

This is beautiful! It's one of my favorite Micky Dolenz vocal performances (singing in 5/4 time is NOT easy) and the mix with Carole's take is really nice.
