Everyone has had that WTF moment in music when they've heard something so powerful the world just seems to vanish., for me it was the first time I heard this turning sequence and I've been hooked ever since. This reminds me of being in high school and my Street was on the other side of the trees that separated our neighborhood from the high school that I attended I used to hear Drumline practice and band practice all the time and as good as our band was oh, it never sounded as crisp as this., we had an excellent BD Paul Mitchell God bless his soul he's looking down from heaven, and even he is impressed.

I honestly think that the best part of this video is when they play the first note, then in about 2 seconds equalize their sounds. Harloff even said that they would be out of tune. The ability of these guys to listen and adapt is just unreal. Either that or the mic just started working better in which case I'm wrong. But they're still really good.
@itechhh71266 жыл бұрын
Agreed, it sounds like "one player" and that sounds amazing. He said they would be out of tune but they were pretty close to perfect to me
@LJ-wo1wf6 жыл бұрын
"Living in tune" for months at this point, plus working on fundamentals every day, plus getting rid of difficult-to-blend sounds like woodwinds and tuned percussion (brass rehearsals are almost always without the pit), plus a lack of ego (nobody says, "I'm in tune and everyone else sucks"), makes it possible. I marched and taught other corps besides Crown, and the goals were always the same. Harloff and his crew have had this line kicking ass for over a decade.

“We’re gonna be out of tune. Adjust if you need to.” “THAT” member of the Corps: *Licks finger and sticks it up in the air* “….442…and a half” *Corps moves their tuning slides a few millimeters” “Ok we’re good here”

I hope all those kids realize just how absolutely lucky they are to be in the circle of the best horn line in Drum Corps.

I went to that camp in 2014 and was in the circle we all knew how lucky we were. Inside the crown circle is reserved for crown alumni and it was made clear too. It was an absolute honor

Now…imagine playing all parts with just your hands and feet on a pipe organ as it was originally composed. Beautifully arranged and played.

I can tell that *IT IS* the girl in the Batman hat's first time in the circle of a Drum Corps (more specifically a Carolina Crown's circle) XD See what I did there? Alright I'll leave...lol

I'm not deaf, but I imagine it might be really cool to experience this if you were deaf. I feel like all the vibrations would be so satisfying, even if you couldn't hear it.

3:31- Batgirl is swallowed by the same spiritual “Aural Wormhole” that anyone here can testify catches you once and deposits you as a new soul in the world once more, but forever changed. I would love to hear her thoughts on the matter.

Your reaction makes this vid totally worth it. It's possible to get jaded after being around this kind of group long enough, so it's good to see someone new get blasted right in the feels with a few power chords.

The chord progression at the end is actually the ending from Toccata and Fugue in D Minor with an adjusted ending.
