What an ingenious system! Let the hogs' so called "intelligence" and gluttony do all the work.

Funny thing is the hogs seem to prefer the net to the steel. Don't disappoint your wid hogs call CHS now!

So, as far as I can see, the hogs could easily escape if they could just use their snouts to nudge the edge of the net lying on the ground inside the enclosure, lifting it up, gently pushing forward with their snouts, until they can walk underneath it, and to freedom. And yet I never see any hogs even trying to do this. If they are supposed to one of the smartest animals on earth, how come they can't see this, and thus walk to freedom?

Very good observation.... That was the first thing I always thought when I first started using the trap, but it has never happened. I do take extra care to ensure there is no debris that could prop up the net like a stick or something. For the most part hogs press everything down real flat inside during the conditioning phase. What you might not be able to see is there are stakes on the inside at every other t-post about 4 feet away. The net has a thick quick link attached to the net that the stake goes through. These stakes only let the net go so high because they are not driven all the way in the ground. There is a loop at the top of the stake. They are about 16 inches up at about a 45 degree angle inside if you can imagine that. Also these stakes keep the net pulled somewhat flat on the ground and doesn't allow the net to bunch up much at all. Not saying it's not possible, but I've heard it's rare that a hog gets out that way. Maybe a baby could, but I've never had one escape knock on wood.

@@carolinahogstopper2709 And...It's very simple to imagine also that in any panic situation, everything (everyone) goes blank and no time to regain whatever intelligence it has within. 😊😊😊😊😊

@@venkatarao1658 very good point! Only thing I would say is these hogs are not stressed until I show up. From the time their caught until I show up often times they just lay in the corn or just walk around without alarm. They do not seem to know they were caught until I get there.

It's addicting for sure! Lol I have more videos coming in the next couple days showing these hogs entering the trap at night. So make sure to subscribe! Also I'm not a tech guy or I would merge these 30 second files into one. Be patient with me while I figure it out.

@@carolinahogstopper2709 So, the videos are too short
@carolinahogstopper27093 жыл бұрын
@@Not_fit_to_be_President yea I know.... I actually have lots of videos but the files are too large to merge and cut them all with normal apps I've found. The apps want you to purchase a bigger package in order to merge the bigger files. If you have any suggestions I'm all ears. I'd love to get more content out there and make the videos longer.
