Maybe Bryce Young just isn't an NFL quarterback. Everyone blamed the roster last year but the one game Andy Dalton started, he threw for 360 yards against the Seahawks with receivers who couldn't get open and a line that couldn't block. Bryce looked lost and overwhelmed and I hate it for him, but I don't think it's all because of the roster.

They need to adjust their playbook for Young. Should for any QB you have. The system is built for an Andy dalton type of qb. The ravens have a playbook that helps Lamar. The patriots had a playbook that helped brady( quick passes to the slot wr and deep to the wide outs).

It shows some NFL people watched the highlights and not the whole game. Tiny and small are un-draftable traits. If the player signs as a FA and goes to the HOF great. But you can draft one. How many tiny and same player make it in the NFL? I really can't think of one. Not with both tiny and small with his other average to below average traits. Yes, every trait he has is average or below. At least Murray has an above average arm and has very quick feet. And it still bigger than Young. Young has neither. Small ok there have been some. Russ was short but was not tiny in frame like Young.

And I am sorry Mike, the Teppers love Bryce, they are the reason he went #1. What happened was HC got a look at the LAC game film. It showed Young just flat out missing open throws, being way too busy in the pocket, and making some really bad decisions.

We're not asking for him to fix Carolina. They benched Bryce because the offense as a whole is suffering because of his play. The front office needs to see if Canales is helping the team or hurting it, if his schemes at least work somewhat, and if the newer offensive pieces added are worth building around. With Bryce (you'd know this if you watched the games), you don't know if these guy's value because he's so awful at getting the ball into his playmakers hands. You'll never know true pain unless you watch your QB jump 10+ times just to get the ball over his o-line to complete a 5 yard in route and half the time, he under/overthrows him.

Bryce Young might be young (no pun intended), but why have a 23-year-old with an atrocity caused by Tepper when QBs ages 25+ can be terrible at handling losing too? Think about it. Denver's not completely bad, but Bo Nix, 25, is handling things better. Even Tommy DeVito, 26, did better with the Giants -- as a rookie -- than Bryce did in his 2 years, and the Giants have been almost as bad -- overall record-wise -- as the Panthers since 2022. In fact, it's possible that Russell Wilson (and Andy Dalton) are upgrades over all these guys. Sorry, but popularity contests and age-shaming are not good determinants of competence.

Andy won't win them games, but it will at least allow them to evaluate the talent on offense and who see who is worth building around. Bryce Young failed at doing the most vital aspect of a QB; getting the ball into your playmakers hands. At least here, they can draft Cam Ward, Quinn or anyone, and try again. Most 1st round QBs just don't succeed in the NFL and that's reality. Bryce is one of those players.

I don’t understand why people around the league who don’t watch the Panthers are criticizing this move so much. Bryce Young put up 84 yards last game. He missed open receivers and took unnecessary sacks. I liked him a lot and had high hopes for him, but it doesn’t look like he has what it takes. Andy Dalton won’t wow anyone, but he won’t hold the team back in the same way Bryce Young has been doing. We need to allow our receivers to make plays, and we need to put up points so our defense can make plays too.

Cam's career record is 76-71 which is 51.7%. Andy Dalton is 86-83 which is 50.8%. I'm not sure why you'd rather have Cam Newton when his biggest strength was his size and ability to scramble. People said the same thing about Tua and the way he’s played only reason why he succeeds is the pieces around him. Honestly that’s not true it starts with the head coach and coordinators around Tua that motivates the fire if that fire never get’s lit it’s a bad result across the board. Why I bring up Tua well Tua reminds me a lot of Bryce not because they both played at Alabama, but the fact that the support system Tua started to get later on and sure players like Hill and Waddle do help the overall picture. But when you one day say “I’m so happy your our leader” and the next season arrives “We made a mistake” that is really not the coaching or system you want around you to motivate and inspire the leadership role for the QB position. Ever since Bryce Young arrived I’ve heard that he was not supposed to be there and mistakes were made in the draft. When Tua was not wanted at the Miami Dolphins by higher ups and only when Mike McDaniel came in then Tua became what we saw In college because of the support system. Bryce Young needs a support system and maybe even needs another team to succeed that because the panthers I believe is in limbo like the Browns and the Lions were at one time and I maybe wrong. But I do see a future where Bryce Young finds the welcome party and succeeds.

4-5 wins is more realistic. We're not even benching Bryce to win; The front office needs to see if Canales is helping the team or hurting it, if his schemes at least work somewhat, and if the newer offensive pieces added are worth building around. With Bryce, you don't know if these guy's value because he's so awful at getting the ball into his playmakers hands. You'll never know true pain unless you watch your QB jump 10+ times just to get the ball over his o-line to complete a 5 yard in route and half the time, he under/overthrows him.

My main problem with stuff like this is that fans and the media will mostly crucify Young, as if it's all his fault. A young QB failing is an institutional failure. If he wasn't ready, he shouldn't have been put on the field, and if they thought he was ready, what does that say about the coaching staff? And if they only played him because the owner is a meddler, well, as a Browns fan, I feel pain of Carolina fans. But, to my larger point, there's this attitude (maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think I am) that a draft pick failing is simply the player's fault. Yes, sometimes guys just can't make the transition to the NFL (and for first rounders it's about 50/50), but there are plenty of situations where teams fail to develop young players simply because the standard method in the league is "sink or swim", which is kind of wild for a league with the kind of resources the NFL has.

As I panther fan I have been watching young for 18 games now and he is not a nfl qb. We can't score, the offense can't move the ball, and bryce looks lost or simply can't do things due to his limitations. The offense looked the best when dalton played and we actually had a lead in a game. I would most certainly rather watch that on Sundays then watch bryce attempt to be an NFL qb. Its not happening, all these analysts making comments clearly don't watch the games and are just throwing opinions out there.

This doesn't even mean Bryce Young can't cut it. This is as much an indictment of the horrible decision making of the Panthers as it is Young being underwhelming. Remember they had Mayfield in their QB room very recently and let him go and now that he has a competent team/ownership look what he's doing.
