Thanks for the response. Our boat has the Mercury outboard and it tells me we need something called vesselview to be able to sink with out Simrad. Did Suzuki require something similar for you?

Hi Isabel, I always use non ethonal fuel. I utilize my trim tabs to compensate for uneven weight distribution from equipment and passengers. Yes, the G09 tracks my fuel efficiency. It is networked to my Suzuki outboard. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching!👍

Carolina skiff's get a bad rap for rough/choppy performance in my opinion. It may be a little more Bumpy than a 22° dead rise boat But I have always felt safe and confident in their boats!! I'm looking at 24 and 26 foot ultra elites as we speak I'm a hoping to seal the deal on one in the next couple of months.

I agree. Also, that 22° deadrise is nice when it's rough and you're underway but will rock horribly at anchor. All boats are a compromise. No boat is perfect in all conditions or applications. I feel like Carolina Skiff does a fair job of making a very versatile boat. I love mine. Do I wish it could make it to the ledge? Sure, but it does everything else so well and very affordable so that trip to the lege will just have to be a charter..lol. Good luck with your new boat ... Tight lines 🤙 🎣

Hi Clinton, I don't have the dimensions. I had Castaway Customs measure and install mine. I am very satisfied with their work. I am not promoting them by any means, I have no affiliation but if you use them they would have the dimensions from doing mine.

Thanks for the video. Have you ever used regular gas in the boat and is it not a good idea to mix the fuel?

I only use non ethanol gas in my outboard. Using regular gas or mixing will not hurt as long as it does not sit long. You can always add fuel stabilizer for insurance until you can run it all out. Ethanol is not as hard on newer 4 fuel injection engines as it was on the old carburetor equipped outboard however I prefer to err on the side of caution.

Hi Mike, I still have it. I only took it off because I anticipated anchoring to dive and wanted the trolling motor out of the way. It is super easy with the quick release mount.
