love it that you allow roosters to live with the hens. It's so much better for the hens' sense of security and safety to have the roosters there to watch over them. Chicken behavior is at its best when it's most naturally incorporated for them.

Believe it or not, this was by far the best coop of all the videos I’ve seen. Of course all the coops you’ve built are beautiful, but Maria’s coop was by far looking like an original coop built from scratch, not. You get me. The nesting box was the icing on the cake. Not making it to match. It really is cute. Maria, this is what I would want built on my 11 acre farm. Thank you for the idea and when ready, I will check with you the builder, on building me one. So three of the four roosters are segregated from the flock with their own run? If that's what that is it's brilliant. So a replacement is immediately available if the main rooster dies. I'm I reading this correctly?

The best chicken coop I ever seen, but there’s a way to make impossible for rats to go in
@CarolinaCoopsVideos3 жыл бұрын
If mice and rats really want to get in they will, they can smoosh in really small spaces. The key is to not give them a reason to come to the coop and don't give them places to harbor. Thank you for your comments!

Wow somebody really likes eggs. I would love to know the cost per dozen eggs if you depreciate the coop over 20 years
@CarolinaCoopsVideos5 жыл бұрын
People that buy our coops aren't trying to make the money back in eggs. Most are engaging in keeping chickens as a hobby and because they love chickens. And they want to give them the best chance for a healthy life, which all our coops provide. And for many who can afford it, they get a beautiful custom coop because it makes life easier for them and better for their flock. (who doesn't like beautiful things, especially something with such craftsmanship) If you watch the video, the shed was there already(we just altered it to her specs) and she had a run that didn't work well for her. Thanks for watching.
@mariae.wheeler4594 жыл бұрын
well I really don't sale my eggs, I share my egg with the fire station that is around the corner from my house, I did not build my coop looking at the real state value, I build my coop for my girls, so they can have a save house and a nice place to run when I cannot let them out because I am working or away from my house, I love animals and they are part of my family, so they need their own house LOL

Hi Rhonda, all our metal roofing all has a low thermal mass. The painted metal roofs are even more energy efficient that plain metal roofing. (yes, even black roofing!) These roofs not only reflect solar energy, but also re-emit most of the solar energy that the coop absorbs.
