Caroline Brooks is the one who started it. She's the one who started this conversation by asking Sarah what does she think about her decision to send Adam to boarding school. And Sarah proceeded to give her opinion. Don't ask someone their opinion and chew them out when they give you their opinion.

@@Jagaban1264 I think they’re giving their opinions based on how she treated her son in front of her guests. Any child to be “disciplined” in front of adults and the whole world how to use their utensils would be embarrassing. She’s gotten more concerned about how she is as a mother rather than the embarrassment of putting her child on the spot in front of the adults. She wanted her child to act with poise in the table but she’s the one who lost her temper and cursed everybody in the table. That’s how you teach a child, I guess.

In what world you get invited to someones place and the conversation YOU initiate is about scolding them on their parenting skills when you don't know them like that, out of nowhere and you never met their kids? If youre like that, lets talk about your parents who didnt raise you with manners.
@rnd322
@rnd322 2 жыл бұрын
@@sossoft You can’t embarrass a child in front of the adults-AND IN FRONT OF THE WORLD. This experience can break children’s self-esteem and confidence through adulthood. Her friends spoke about it with kindness and concern. If your moral compass says you should be silent as an adult and as a friend-so that you can keep your “guest” etiquette-while seeing your friend scold her child in front of the camera, you must be a GREAT FRIEND and ADULT. Cursing and screaming at your “guests” unnecessarily were also the gold standard of hosting.

'Is mummy crazy?' Strike 1, 'You're cold hearted' Strike 2, 'I'm on Saras Side' Strike 3 and OUT. He should of had more sense than to address his friend like that, especially when cameras are rolling and strangers are in the room. The enlarged portraits Caroline has of herself around her home does speak to her circumstance but if my mum did that I would be side eyeing her everyday too. At the end of the day her child is lucky to have a parent who can provide.

Don’t give permission to someone to speak and then get mad when you don’t like hearing it. She blew up because she’s hearing it from everyone and it’s hitting her that she’s not a good mother. She lashed out at her best friend because he is at her mercy and can take it. Sarah is an asset and she wants to keep it good with her. But in general, I would never talk about somebody’s kids and Sarah should keep her opinions to herself.

I've been around friends/family that are overwhelming cold/detached from their children and it's extremely uncomfortable. It is bad parenting and borderline abusive. She asked Sara for her opinion and welcomed it. Sarah said the truth about boarding Schools. But where Sara went wrong us to say that Caroline should show more affection to her son. Parents take their kids to them, to get rid of their kids, according to Sara. And ITA with that. Caroline will not let her son ever grow into a man. She wants the boy totally dependant on her. She's not a likeable person.*

Ok, I think Caroline Bs reaction was strong, BUT I will have to side with her on this situation. You are not just insulting the host, you are insulting her on her parenting. She only asked about boarding school, she never asked how her parenting is. They made an overall judgment from that one moment he came to eat. She expects him to behave in front of guests. As would I with my child. The child is well fed and taken care of and Caroline clearly wants the best for him and she is right, people these days are TOO SOFT. Caroline kept it cool until the two people she invited became comfortable and we can now see what triggers Caroline. Rightfully so though in my opinion.

Caroline asked a simple question about boarding school, not whether she loves or cares about her child. We have seen her be affectionate with her child in other scenes. Her friends were completely wrong to call her cold based on one dinner. They are not with her 24-7 and they had no right to call her out like that with limited understanding of her day to day parenting. And for her childhood friend to make her feel bad was out of order. I understand her frustration. I'm sure any mother would be upset if someone told them they were cold towards their child.

I understand being defensive over shit you worked for. But this is far too much, despite if I would be irritated if something I'm doing is concerning like "bleeding on somebody who didn't cut me" then I would want somebody to stop me. I know Caroline does not want to hurt her child, but I can even notice she is contradicting herself in trying to admit that the way she was raised is far too strict to implement on another generation because she went "you don't know how I grew up my mom was very militant" to "no I like the way I turned out so I'm gonna use her technique". Common signs that she is lying to herself and trying to avoid trauma conversations.

Idk watching this clip for the second time made me look at Sara a whole different way now. I used to be on her side but now she gives me a vibe of a sneaky/ manipulative and low key machiavellic person. I'm keeping my eyes on her 👀👀👀🕵️‍♀️
