"go ask Alice" references a book about doing LSD and a Jefferson airplane lyric about doing magic mushrooms. Definitely a "doing psychedelics in the club" song! Also I think Caroline has said it's about being unavailable, which throws into relief the way some of the lyrics suggest longing/love (i.e. "fireworks blazing/heart isn't breaking") and creates multiple pretty interesting potential meanings alongside the drug references.
