I was obsessed with this album when it came out!! Idk if you’ve listened to Charli xcx before but she has a song with Caroline on her mixtape Pop 2 where Caroline basically just screams throughout the entire song! You should check that album out!

I highly recommend you look into the discography of Chairlift, the band Caroline was in before she went solo around 2008-2016!! great experimental tracks that really are pieces of art that I feel like were before their time tbh

This album was actually meant to be played in the reverse order of songs for the over arching storyline to make sens. I'd recommend checking HahaYes's video on the subject ! Great reaction, I hope you react to even more PC Music affiliated projects like this one.

New Normal was perhaps predictive programming. Song came out in 2019, but it references 2020 and 2021 pretty eerily. "The orange cat, finish what he started" references Trump (Orange Man Bad) finishing his term. "It's house arrest" pretty self explanatory. "Hollywood ghost town, a shootout scene, no actors at all" - lockdowns halted not just the industry but more importantly every industry.

I understand the grudge with the "common" production of So Hot You're Hurting My Feelings _but I believe most people who learned to enjoy her music got introduced to her by that song (maybe not much nowadays, thanks to the Charli XCX feat, but it was very much the case before that), so I also understand how important it was to expand the reach of the project I have a really soft spot for SHYHMF exactly 'cause I discovered Caroline thanks to the popularity it received back than on 2019/beginning of 2020 _and 'cause I find the song to be really relatable and catchy, that comes on the perfect moment to break a bit of the "similar" sound that the rest of the album has, show a bit more of her versatility and, in a quirky way, transmit more of the overall narrative of the album with this "psicopathic" obsessed anthem _I'm always fond of those (like One Way Or Another from Blondie and Crazy Girls from Paramore, as other examples), so I really believe this album wouldn't be complete without it I respect your opinion about it 'tho, of course

Not the too hot you're hurting my feelings hate 😭😭 it's okay, I'm sure it could grow on you. I know people have recommended it, but Life Support by Madison Beer is good pop for production hoes. As well as infections of a different kind by Aurora. You don't have to react to this because it's not really super popular, but you should check out Dreaming of David by Ryan Beatty.
