Technically challenging piece, wonderfully performed. I play a good deal of new music. It is fascinating to work on, but ugh! Who wants to hear it, who wants to sit through it? 😢

Ever since the violin concerto cadenza where Mendelssohn perfected the art of ricochet writing there's really no point in composing for it anymore. Nothing can beat it really I mean it's too perfect

a few all-too-common effects, a few string cliches and a bit of singing to make it sound hip. Incredibly naive, nothing unique, original, an archetype of an all-too-american dumbing down of the arts with the excuse of audience accessibility. Wake up people!
