People should understand. Making money is an Art. Money is everywhere but one has to have the skill to aquire it. Centonomy doing a good job. What basically they saying is PLANING. How does one build a House? One starts from a Plan well thought of and well drawn by a qualified architect. One doesnt start to build from the Roof youvstart from the Foundation. Simple people PRIORITIZE and importantly PLAN.

I remember my dad telling me that some people took out second mortgages on their homes so as to get on the quail bandwagon! What a disaster that turned out to be for many. When the guys were discussing how it is when men are talking together and fearing to look like the only ones who don't know what they're talking about, I remembered a quote that you love using, Caroline. You say that "if you're the smartest person in the room, then you're in the wrong room". I've always had trouble with this saying. I've been toying with a modified version of the saying: "If you're the smartest person in the room, then you're in the wrong mindset". We can learn from anyone, and so we must be prepared to. I don't think we're taught how to cultivate the skill to adopt a learning mindset at all times, and this may be why men feel the pressure to look like they always know stuff, especially when in a room of peers or younger men or women.

Only if the younger men & women currently living the YOLO, Socialite lifestyle are willing and receptive to wise guidance of the older generation. My nephew did Centonomy, he is 22 & a wise, bright & focused gentleman in every aspect. Saving relentlessly as he studies towards what he tells me “Aunty this is my dream of leaving a legacy & inheritance for my grandchildren”.

What i think about this is ...there is a lot of societal pressure to make decisions and live life...people live life and use money according to how it is norm in society...going for such courses seems ' out there ' ...in short thinking and searching for new knowledge is scary and people are scared of getting out of their preconceived notions of life and replacing them with new knowledge..

Thanks for addressing very important issues, but I disagree with the notion of saving for the children of your children. Doing so does great harm not only to the children concerned but also to the universe that expects them to contribute in bettering it. we come to this world with a lot of intelligence, but the society in which we find ourselves blocks it . The parents should never provide everything to their children because this covers, blinds and blocks them from materializing intelligence bestowed in them by the "NATURE". I would urge the parents, to provide means to their children to know what they carry.

What is your basis of comparison? If you live in a society where KFC is cheap have you ever wondered why? Have you considered as someone who thinks of themselves as fully and completely Kenyan that the KFC has to be over valued and made to seem mysteriously different and having the ability to brand the consumer in a certain way? The question should rather be why you as a MkenyaDaimamilele have no concept of yourself and the other; that is non Kenyan especially, if you are asking this question from a non Kenyan location. Think deeply about yourself before you consider talking for them, if you are who you think you are.
