Thanks for this review. I ordered the Black Vanilla Shampoo and Conditioner today. I used CD products in my natural hair years ago, before Carol Price sold the company to L'Oréal. I heard product(s)changed, and people started complaining they werent the same. Your hair looks beautiful. I'm simply looking for my natural hair to get clean and stay healthy.

Hey MacktheMaverick . I watch a young lady on KZbin. Did the same products . She washed her hair then conditioned , then she deep condition covered her hair with a plastic bag then she set under the dryer for 15 minutes if I not mistaken then she washed out then put the leave on spay then put the hair smoothie last her hair turned out beautiful. Buy the way your hair is gorgeous 💕

I’ve been loc’d since June of this year and up until last week I only used water and oil to moisturize them. Due to it being winter my hair has been dry so to avoid build up, I used their water based leave in. I don’t use conditioner either.I like the leave in but I haven’t tried the shampoo. Do you feel it’s good enough to not have to use conditioner after or would you recommend using the conditioner along with it?

Hi! Great question. I've never had locs, so I found someone who does! I polled my buddies over at Influenster to see who has locs. So far, one person has said they love the shampoo for their locs. She also has had her bleached and hasn't had any issue. She occasionally uses conditioner, but mostly just uses shampoo. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment!

Excellent review. I’ve received all the products you’ve tried in a hair subscription box. I was very fearful of the shampoo based on reviews I read. Many said the shampoo was overly drying and stripped of natural oil. My hair is thin & fragile due to ageing and medication. And I also don’t trust L’Oreal. They’ve probably changed the formula so Type 2 hair can use it. I’ll try the shampoo & conditioner but i’m more interested in the sheen oil and deep conditioner. I’ll leave shampoo & conditioner to the kids. Their hair can withstand anything.

@@MacktheMaverick The subscription box suggested using the conditioner as a Pre poo then go in with the shampo. They said to the smoothie as deep conditioner, plastic cap & under heat for 15 minutes. Then rinse out. Reading other reviews, it’s suggested to use CD coco crème conditioner for type 4 hair which requires intense hydration. Very interesting.
