You did pretty good getting it in 7 months. Mine took 2 years almost to the day. It's a work of art and probably the best frame I'll ever own.

I cannot believe how fast you have been stitching Blue Dragon, it looks so so so amazingly beautiful!!! And the back looked great for a head design. Love the frame! Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks so much! I put my fast stitching down to the parking technique I use. If I had been doing it a different way I would have spent a lot more time unpicking and restitching ;) The aim was to have this finished for my teenage son this Christmas. Not sure that I'm going to make it, but I'll give it a good try :) Thanks for watching x

I just received my frame and I don't know how to put it into words! Any serious stitcher should have this no matter the cost. It is worth every single dime and the time it takes to get it. My order was mixed up but they were very nice about it and offered to fix and send the extra bars. I am very pleased with this and it can not be beat. The exceptional work and craftsmanship is wonderful and so easy to use once you try. I will order more from them in the future.

+PREPPING4TIME That's fantastic! I'm so glad you had a good experience, I often hear the opposite. I do agree with you - this is the best there is and well worth the cost. I just wish the wait wasn't so long, as it does put a lot of people off. Happy stitching :) x

+Carolyn Mazzeo- I do think they would do much better to hire an extra or two, would help with the orders I am sure...still waiting on longer bars I really needed. Is there anyway you can use this with the large Haed charts? I have many to do. thanks
@TheFlosstubeStitcher9 жыл бұрын
PREPPING4TIME I have the maximum size of 36" bars, and I used that for Blue Dragon. You can alter your fabric count to make sure it fits within the frames you have. If you don't want to do that the only way to do bigger charts is to stitch sideways..... so the fabric would be mounted with the left side of the design at the top of the frame and the right side at the bottom... the top and bottom of the design would be along the side stretcher bars. You can still stitch everything as normal (turning the charts sideways too, of course) and then when you finish the design and turn it around the right way, you'll notice that the top leg of your stitches will be opposite to how you normally stitch. I really hope that makes sense... I haven't done this myself personally, but I have seen others do it. So as long as the sides of the design fit within the width of your frame, then you'll be okay. Otherwise, you'll have to use q-snaps, hoops or stitch in hand to complete them. I might have to do a sideways style with the Butterfly design I was recently gifted because it's very large and I don't think it will fit otherwise. :) x

thanks so much for the information, I do appreciate the time. I did get the 20 & 30 inch but will have to buy another ...good luck with your new design, I am sure it will be as wonderful as your other works...I think I do get what you are saying and may try this but I am busy with many now to finish before I try this...will have to get up the nerve :)

It's amazing how tight that fabric is. I was thinking of buying one 2 years ago, but decided to get a Hearthside Craftworks frame instead. They're in Calgary (I live in Quebec) and their customer service is amazing. When I emailed them 2 years later asking a question, they answered back right away and actually remembered me from the last time I spoke with them.

I just bought one on the 1st. I know it will take months to get it here in the US but I am very excited and willing to wait :) I was worried it would not have good tension for I have used many frames that said they had great tension. When you tightened yours and touched the cloth I KNEW this is the one for me . Thanks for showing..

+Pamela Vest Oh Pamela, you will absolutely love it! I too have used many floor stands over the years and have been disappointed with each and every one of them.... until this one. And the great thing is I know I will never have to buy another one again :) Best tip I can give you to always achieve the drum tight tension, is to slacken the tension off each day/night with the side side stretcher bars, when you finish stitching. This will help you to always get the tension you desire. I'm sure you will be very happy with your purchase :) x

I am using the middle size frame bars right now & plan to buy the floor stand, as I have arthritis, this will help in my posture and stitching ! They are costly, and take time to arrive, but the handman ship is what I love...each made one at a time by hand (and with Love) ! So well worth the workmanship !

Thanks to you I found the perfect stand! Now I just have to order and wait and wait and wait... You know the drill. But I actually wanted to know how big the dragon is (preferably in centimeters). I want to order a HAED, I just don't see it fitting even the bars with the largest width... So I am a bit concerned. Have a nice day :)
@TheFlosstubeStitcher8 жыл бұрын
+emulienka It is well worth the wait, I assure you! My dragon was stitched on 18ct Aida and the finished design measures 18" long x 25" wide, and the fabric size I used was 24" long x 31" wide. I have the largest width bars (36") and there was plenty of room. It will, of course, depend on the fabric you count you decide to use. If you use something larger than 18" then it might not fit. If you have a HAED in mind, I'd be happy to work out if it will fit for you... just let me know. Happy stitching :) x

+Carolyn Mazzeo I am planning on stitching this design: heavenandearthdesigns.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=160_436&products_id=10850. 25" is suggested but I think the stitches might be too small and I might go blind. Or insane :) I'm used to stitching on a larger count fabric. But I love the design and would like to give it a go, but I have no idea how to work out how big it would be in the end. I am used to ordering whole stitching sets (design chart + threads + fabric), so I never needed to decide on the fabric count and its size since the seller did that for me. If you could help me with that, I would really appreciate it a lot. Thank you very much in advance :) Greetings from Slovakia!

Thank you so much for sharing this! It was very helpful. I'm quite keen to get one of these frames and stand, but I live in Hobart, Aus and I see lots of people have been having trouble with ordering and receiving their items. Do you have any advice about ordering? I also couldn't see how to work out the postage cost for these. Are you willing to share what it cost you?
@TheFlosstubeStitcher9 жыл бұрын
Debbie Searle Hi Debbie, unfortunately the customer service from this business seems to have deteriorated to a ridiculous level. People seem to be waiting even longer now than I was.... they obviously cannot keep up with their demand, which is a shame. To make matters worse, they're not keeping in contact with their customers and letting them know about the delays. If you are still keen to order from them you will need to email them first to let them know what you are wanting to purchase and to let them know you wish you be put on the waiting list - you will then get a reply to say you've been put on the waiting list (if you don't, email them again). Once your name has progressed in the waiting list queue, you will receive another email letting you know what time/date the products will be available for purchase on their website. When the products are released for sale, they will again be removed within a small period of time (a few hours, I believe) and if you haven't been successful in purchasing, you will need to repeat the process again. Don't be fooled like I was (and countless others too).... just because it says on the website that the items are in stock, it does not mean that! This appears to be their pre-purchase order system. You will pay at this point, but it doesn't mean the products are made yet. You will then go in another queue while you wait for your purchase to be made. It's an absolutely ridiculous way to run a business (if I ran either of my businesses that way, I'd have no customers left!). The freight charge is obviously determined on the weight of your order. I purchased the Needle Needs Kit #1, the Millennium Frame & Bars Kit and the longer Necessaire Arm Supports. My total freight charge for these items was £65.99, which converts to AU$132.00. I can't remember how much I paid at the exact time without going through my bank records (the invoice is all in British Pounds). There will also be an additional charge from either your bank or PayPal (not sure if Needle Needs still use that) for a conversion fee. I was told that I would receive an email, stating when my order has been dispatched, along with a tracking number. I received neither! My order just arrived one day out of the blue. Others have actually received the tracking details.... so this process is a bit hit and miss. There is an alternative product out there if you're interested - The Quantam Frame by the Omanik Factory in Estonia . It looks very similar, does the same job, is cheaper and the ordering process is uncomplicated and fast. Two of my KZbin friends have this product and I'll provide links to their channels where they discuss this product for you, so you can make up your own mind. As yet, the company does not make a stand, only the frame. But there is also a stand on the market that's similar looking to the Needle Needs one.... I've seen it once, but I can't remember who had it. If I remember, I'll let you know. Dee Stitcher: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2m0cnema9iKiLc Orietta Stitches: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mInKh3t8hcmkp5Y Either of them will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have on the alternative frame, if you're interested of course. I hope this information has helped. Happy stitching :) x

Carolyn Mazzeo Thank you so much for your reply, that's really helpful! I love the look and simplicity of their stand and frame, but I really don't want to have to deal with the company if it's difficult. What a shame, they could do so well if they had better customer service. I'll look into the omanik option.

Hi Carolyn! I am currently researching needlework stands because I am about to start my first HAED BAP. I've really enjoyed watching your videos on the Needle Needs Necessaire! I'm just wondering if after using it for a while you would still recommend it? Is there anything about it that you do not like? I would so appreciate any further insights or opinions you may have. I see on the website that the stands are currently out of stock so I did send an email as you suggested. Thanks a bunch!!!
@TheFlosstubeStitcher9 жыл бұрын
Heidi Cran Oh absolutely Heidi - I consider it to be the best frame I have ever purchased! The tension is drum tight - better than anything I have tried in over 20 years of stitching. The only negative is their customer service and the way they run their business. I think it's ridiculous to have to wait so long after paying before receiving the goods. I had a local business mention they knew a company that made the identical frame (not sure about the stand) and they were going to get back to me with prices etc.... which they haven't done, so I'll need to chase that up. Otherwise, you may wish to look into the factory in Estonia that makes a similar product. Dee Stitcher and Orietta Stitches have made videos on theirs and I know they are completely happy with their purchases. You could possibly ask them a few questions regarding their experience... I'm sure they'd be happy to help. I'll put link to their videos here: Dee Stitcher: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2m0cnema9iKiLc Orietta Stitches: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mInKh3t8hcmkp5Y I hope this helps :) x

Needle Needs drive me nuts! I have to fight for every order I place. I am currently fighting for an order I placed 3 months ago. It was in stock when I ordered it. So far they haven't replied to my emails. I will be phoning this week. I definitely won't be ordering from them again. I do love my Millennium Frame and Necessaire Stand but the Customer Service is terrible...in my opinion. xx
@TheFlosstubeStitcher10 жыл бұрын
Yes Kerry, it was the same for me too. All of my items were in stock when I ordered them but I still waited 3 months. To be honest, I think they can't keep up with the demand of orders they receive. They really should find a better way to process them. I wasn't very happy paying the full amount and then having to wait so long, especially with how quickly the currency rates change. I'm a small business owner myself, and if I charged people upon ordering and then made them wait I know they would never return. Maybe it would be fairer to charge a deposit when you order then full payment when the goods are ready. And it would be helpful to update the website to reflect the 3 months wait instead of 28 days (which is what it currently says).
@kerryemmiebet10 жыл бұрын
I agree. I suggested they shouldn't say 28 days for delivery but they obviously didn't take me up on my suggestion!! x

I ordered a Lamp with another "Busy" company last Fall. When my order never came after a month, I contacted the co by email, which I had been doing several times and told them in the email that I was giving them 10 days to have my "already paid for" item at my door or I was going to contact the Federal Trade commission, the BBB, which is the Better Business Bureau and the USPS, Fraud division for mail fraud AND My Bank. When I had placed my order , the money immediately came out of my Bank account, so they had their money. I was giving them 10 days..and magically, my item showed up at my door before the 10 days were completed. I don't put up with nonsense from these companies. Now, when I order something, I specifically ask them when my order would be delivered before I place my order, except co like Amazon or Ebay. I won't be burned again.

just watched this and the video on the company website I'm sure now I want to invest in one of these. My only concern is that the frame doesn't seen to be held in at all, it rests on the arms. Do you find that it moves about much? Hope this makes sense :)
@TheFlosstubeStitcher9 жыл бұрын
+Essex Stitcher I was concerned about that too... but it really does work! I'm a two handed stitcher, so I have a hand on top and on the bottom, and I have no problems with it at all. I suggest you watch Nicola Parkman's video review of the stand.... that's what helped me make my decision. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXindmNmeZKdodU If you are going to be doing large designs, like HAEDs, I also recommend purchasing the extendable arms (like Nicola shows), as it suits all the sizes of stretcher bars. I don't even take mine off.... I leave them on for all my wips (even the smaller ones). If you have any further questions, please ask :) x

+DMerkelyte Sorry to hear you're having issues with them, but rest assured you're not alone. Everyone has the the same problems, from what I've heard. The best way to get on the mailing list is to email them. If they don't answer, just resend them until they do. The waiting list will be long, and the processing of the order will be longer again :( There is a similar product made by a company in Estonia if you're interested and it's called the Quantum Frame. My friend Dee Stitcher has a video showing the frame and you will see that's it's very similar to the Millennium Frame. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2m0cnema9iKiLc I will have some updated information soon on another company that makes an identical product to the Millennium Frame (with the wood stretchers, and not plastic ones like the Quantam). I'm waiting for the store to receive their order so I can go and inspect it and compare it to what I have. When I've done so, I'll do a video on it and mention prices etc. In the meantime, I suggest trying to get your name on the waiting list for the Millennium, so you can get all your bases covered, before you decide which one to purchase. I wish you the very best of luck in your choice :) x

DMerkelyte It's possible they haven't got back to you yet because their wait list is already at the maximum? I get the feeling this is only a part-time business for them (I could be wrong), due to the wait times between each process. I run 2 businesses and we pride ourselves on same day, or next day delivery. There's no way I could do what they do - people would never come back!!! Are you a member of any of the Facebook groups? You could always pose the question regarding the stand on there - I'm sure you'll get a lot of answers. There has been a few videos where people use their frames on other stands, but I can't remember who they were now.... I'm subscribed to over 200 channels! I hope that you hear from them very soon :) x
