And again, here I am, seeing your beautiful progress, as I work on my Up on the Rooftop, checking on my current section on your WIP 😊 Also me, when I was getting kind of tired of all that 336 stitching, I just thought about how much I'll miss it for the rest of the project 😄 I'm so glad to see things are going better for you, and your health situation was nothing more than a scare 🙏 And you're right, the best time of the year is upon us (starting with some very special dates in September - wink wink), and it is awesome your next Christmas mug is Mrs. Claus, works out perfectly with... 🫢 something you will see, when you see it 😉 Fellow bytterfly lover here, but I'll likely wait until more designs are out, before adding yet one more project to my never-ending list 😋 I also want to kind-of get back in track with my stitching and crafting plans. I might post an update on that in a video 😋 we'll see. Wishing you a nice and happy September, may it bring lots of good things and happy memories for you 💜 K

I love your shepherd bush stocking. When you stitch it on 28 count natural cashew linen do you use regular......2 over 2 DMC threads? What size of fabric do you buy? Now to finish your stocking do you do it yourself? I have never stitched or finished a stocking. Is it hard to do? I always enjoy your videos. I was thinking about you and was happy to learn that you are ok. Happy stitching and I look forward to your next video. ❤️

Several years ago, you taught me how to park my threads and I was able to finish the Merry Morgan Stocking from HAED for my granddaughter. She is 13 now and still loves her stocking! Thank you for taking the time to teach that and also for showing how to use an iPad with Good Reader to mark my pattern as I go. It changed everything for me in a wonderfully good way. 😊

I’ve stepped away from filming to look after my own mental health in the past 2-3 years but I’m hoping to resume again soon. Love love love patterns and definitely going to keep an eye out for the butterfly pattern. I’m going to the Stitchy Sunday as well! Can’t wait to meet you in person! What size of material would you use for the cups? I stitch on 16 count what size of fabric would I need to use for the cups? thank you so much if you answer me. It would really help me out!

The stitch count of the design is 234 x 316 and accordingly to my fabric calculator that works out to 15" x 20" on 16 count fabric, but you would need to allow for a border also so for a 2" border you would need 19" x 24" or for a 3" border you would need 21" x 26". I always try and aim for a 3" border as it gives me room to fit the fabric into my scroll bars without any hassle. However, if I'm trying to use up a piece of fabric I already have then I will go for a 2" border. Really depends on what you prefer, and of course your budget. Best of luck. I love watching your update videos and seeing your progress of your projects on instagram, you are very inspiring and do beautiful stitching. The Daisy Chain fabrics are lovely, she certainly has an extensive range to pick from. I have a particular project in mind for Peacock Green in 18count Aida. 🥰

Yes it's been a rough year that's for sure, but I'm hopeful we're all over the worst of it now and thinking positively about the next few months leading up to my favourite time of the year. I have some time off work over Christmas this year so I'm looking forward to getting some much needed rest and relaxation. What white floss did you use? I have the white belfast opalescent fabric but it looks like B5200 will not show up. Also, did you use white belfast opalescent fabric? Your work is beautiful.

I used B5200 on both designs that I stitched on using the linen, but I didn’t use white Opalescent fabric.. Mine was raw so it’s literally an uncoloured fabric but with the Opalescent fleck weaved through it. I agree, I don’t think you’ll see the white floss on the white fabric, unless you plan on backstitching it afterwards. Thank you so much 🥰

I did my first massive full coverage (Blue Dragon) on 18ct and I just absolutely loved it. I always prefer to stitch with 2 strands using a loop start whenever I can. I’ve been thinking that my next full coverage I might attempt on a 25ct with 1 strand. The only downside for me using 18 ct is the finished design ends up being massive!!! I don’t always frame my work but this is one I really want to. Better start saving up for that 😂 It’s all personal preference. You won’t really know what you like until you’ve tried a few different ways. I know many people that have restarted projects several times due to not being happy with the count they chose. Thank you very much! Ooooh yay, I'm so glad you purchased it too. I bought the same colour beads but in petite size. All you do is drop the first 0 and add a 4 in its place to get the petite size. So, I bought 42011 and 40479. Hope that helps and happy stitching x

Great progress on your WIPS, I absolutely love the mugs...they're on my list to do in the future. Daisy chain stitchery has such lovely patterns, but there's something about the Teresa Kogut All the things pattern that attracts me, its totally not what I normally go for. The fabric choices on the website are great too, the 18ct Tea mist has to be my favourite. Hope you get some relief soon from your neck pain. Great video.

Hi Carolyn, Wishing you a speedy recovery and sending positive thoughts re your results. I’d love to try the 28ct evenweave in duck egg blue (I’m in the UK). Up until this year I’d only stitched on aida and you inspired me to try something new with your stunning Mermaids of the Deep Blue piece, which I’m currently stitching in the same colours on evenweave and really enjoying (it’s also my first Mirabilia).

I love Shannon Christine Design also. I'm stitching the mugs and just received the 2023 but cracker design. My favorite Whoopsie Daisy fabric is 28ct Evenweave Berry Whisper. I love all the neutrals. I'm definitely going to have to get the nutcracker this year. He's beautiful and you did such a great job! I checked out the Daisy Chain shop. I love all of the fabric choices but I think 28 count eavenweave peacock is my favorite. I have also been eyeing Winter Snowfall by Shannon Cristine Designs. I think it is such a lovely piece. I'm like you in that I fell away from Stitching for awhile but then found flosstube and patternkeeper and have fallen in love again with the craft.
