What a fun hat...love the curli-ques on the top. I bet a "tween" would love this. 🥰 It's also a scrap buster...lots of leftovers from previous projects would definitely go away with this one. Thanks Mikey...you da' best. 🤗

I have been making hats for my Elks group which helps Children in Need. It’s surprising but the central coast area can be quite cold in the winter even in California. This pattern will make up some darling hats for the kids.

I’m not a fan of carrying more than one yarn because of the bulk. I would rather crochet those fringe pieces onto a chain and whip stitch it to the top edge before gathering. But it’s a great stitch pattern & I like the easy l flat layout. 😊👍☕️🍩

Got a quick question for you please. How many tails did you have at the top? Did you plan it to be 64 stitches around just like the brim? If so, and if my math is correct, you'd end up with 32 tails separated by 32 single crochets, one between each. I'm just getting ready to do the tails and I was like, hmmm... wonder how far apart I should be spacing them and how many I'll end up with. I'm making it with the Aran/Lily Pad RH All in One Granny Square yarn and just letting the colors rip lol. It's actually turning out pretty nice.
