I have never been there, newly retired and a wildlife/landscape photographer, I will have more time to spend in T&T next time I visit, seems to be a great place for photography, the only drawback is, I am not a fan of snakes at all.. Thanks for sharing.

TR, I can assure you snakes are not fans of us either. 😉

There was so much to see from land! Very serene and enjoyable indeed JB. We we're amazed to see crabs so tiny?? I wonder if their gundys can do any damage at all? Did you try to pick one up and test the quality of their shell? Do you think they are full grown? The cats were very interesting too although they were not the focus. One was cool and the other one suspicious. I have never visited the swamp before but I felt like I did last night. Those birds are amazing with their bright colors!! It's a reminder of how what we eat affects how we look and our overall well being. Thanks JB another great video.

Michelle, hey, I see you are getting caught up with some of my older footage. I did not test the crabs to that point, I would not anyway, as a vegan I try to let wildlife be. In my maracas video I actually came across one that I did touch because I did not know if it was dead or not. Yes, it is a great place and many do not know about it.

Thank you very much. You are creating a wonderful video history of lovely Trinidad and Tobago. I was at the Caroni Bird sanctuary in '89 and '93. So happy to know that you could drive all the way down to the end of the road and see the fauna and flora. I am amazed at how clean it is. Is the bird population decreasing or the same?
@JBsManCave2 жыл бұрын
Deryck, thank you kindly. I cannot say if the bird population is decreasing or not but in recent years there has been a public outcry because people used to hunt these birds for their meat.
